Yes, I know exactly where Clinton is located.  I havent been to flemington outlets in years.  I wonder what that is like nowadays.

We moved to SC almost 4 years ago but still have our cabin on Lake Wallenpaupack, where we are in the old and rain this week.  Haven't been to the Flemington outlets in a long time but there were many empty stores the last time I was there.

Sounds wonderful. Isn’t it great to be booking trips again and have travel to look forward to?
We booked a 9 night cruise on Celebrity Equinox today. 3/25 out of Ft Lauderdale.   Ports are Aruba, Curaçao, Grand Cayman & Nassau. All new to us except Nassau and a new cruise line as well.

Our last few cruises have been on celebrity, make sure to link your acts to get your reciprocal benefits.  It Is a different experience but well worth it.  Had gotten a great deal on a cruise that stopped in New Orleans during Mardi Gras as our first, tried a few more and all were great, no flow riders, etc but still lots to enjoy.

Yeah...so much for nice weather for our first week...anniversary on the 1st, my birthday on the 5th.  Snuggle weather I guess.

Will pick up ingredients to make my homemade Chili....for later in the week.  😉  Have to fit that in with the fresh steamed lobster.  😄

The 5th is also my Dad's birthday and also my grandson's birthday.

Enjoy Equinox.  That was our last ship we sailed (January, 2020), before they started canceling our cruises.

It seems I spent time at the Martini Bar every day.   There were just a lot of different ones to try, and they were all good!

I've never quite found the level of martini quality on RCI that I found on Celebrity.

Martini bar seems like the go to bar, but micheals also was really good and made stiffer drinks.

Does anyone watch Wicked Tuna?  In tonight's episode the boat captains take guests from Wounded Warriors on their quest to get a bluefin.

The vets are sharing their stories and trying their best to land a big one. It's very emotional and I have cried several times.

THANK YOU TO ALL THOSE WHO HAVE SERVED.

Ok, I know there is a big difference between Memorial Day and Veterans Day, but I don't think we can thank and honor those who served enough.

All caught up. For now.

Bell thinks there are to many cat pictures lately. 😉

At least, that's what I think she said. You decide.

My first cruise to Bermuda was on a Cunard ship in 1973 .We docked on Front St and also spent 3 days there.I loved and still love Bermuda.

Our only cruise to Bermuda was on Celebrity from NY and we spent a couple of days in Hamilton and then the ship went over to the other side for a couple of days

So her ceremony and reception are at the same venue.

Strings for the service and vocalist.

9 piece band and DJ for band breaks.

Cocktail hour with appetizers.

Sit down dinner for around 175-200 guests

Photo booth.

Alcohol.

Honey moon suite for two nights for bride and groom (even though the groom is staying at his parents house after rehearsal dinner Friday)  and 2 nights comped in hotel room for me and spouse.

All my friends are baking their specialty cookies for the cookie table.

Chocolates at a surprise tribute table.  (shhhhh it is a secret)

And of course all the extra added expenses, like photographers, videographers ,

Even with the discount weddings are not cheap, but, it will be very memorable for her.

Next weekend is the shower weekend, one here in town, and one near the grooms family house.

We have elderly family members that cannot travel so meeting all needs.

So if anyone bored and wants to party, let me know..........by May  28th.

🙄

Congrats in advance your daughter and SIL-to be 🙂

Our son and fiancée should of got married last July but she locked in this August as a back up and thank goodness she did as this summer has been booked out for months.

At the moment the limit for weddings is 30 but keeping fingers crossed the last stage in opening up happens on 21st June and they can have the wedding they have planned .

The build up is growing,  I got my outfit last month, wedding rings collected Saturday, both dads getting fitted out for their suits today and banns being ready (again) this month 😀

Thank you to everyone that has or is serving in the Military!

Happy Memorial Day.

We had a wonderful dinner out last night with our Son and his Fiance.    I got to enjoy various oysters, bermuda fish chowder, sea bass and cheesecake with chocolate ganache as well as a nice bottle of wine.       Beautiful evening just shame the weather didn't allow us to wander around New Hope or Lambertville.

Was also nice to walk into the restaurant with no mask on.

Today is much nicer, clouds are moving out and sun is shining and expect to get up to 74 today.

Doing laundry and starting to pack up for our month stay at our shore house at LBI.     We don't leave till later this week but I like to give the house a full clean as my neighbor will be cat sitting.

How exciting for you and your family.

It has been a stressful and rocky road getting everything coordinated over the past few months not knowing what rules would apply.  The way things kept being so strict.

So far everything is coming into play in a good way.

The venue can hold upto 600 people, we will end up somewhere between 175-200.

Initially had to box the cookies, because the cookie table was a no-no. Now they can be displayed and they will be served by a hostess.

Alcohol, yup, bartenders of course to serve, new drink gets you a brand new glass.

Mask and hand sanitizer everywhere, masks optional, though the governor stated if vaccinated not required.

Cake will be boxed and delivered to all.

But the best thing that could have happened was the discount we got from many vendors because they are rebuilding their clientele after struggling during COVID.

The only thing that really went up in cost that I noticed were the flowers.  Yup  $$$$$$$

Updates to follow.

My wife is an excellent cook - she learned from her Mother - hardly ever measures - she can tell by aroma and sometimes just a sip / quick taste and do any adjustments. My waist can attest to her cooking abilities!!!!! We live in a condo with 3 neighbors and Mary brings slices of cakes, pies and cookies to our neighbors (both widowed ladies). Mary is very popular here!!!!

Funny...that is the way I cook as well.  😉  No recipes, no measuring, just taste and smell.

Cook yes..but bake!!   Mary is a great baker as well.  I don't do well there.

Good flight in, love cute little Bangor airport.  Super easy to pick up baggage and a rental car at the small airport. Got turned around lost trying to get to Ellsworth (stupid Mapquest!!)...but pulled up the GPS feature on my phone...she "talked" our way back out of the mess and got us here.  😉

Cold, rainy, cloudy, drizzle...yuck!  But should clear up by this weekend.  Thus pictures of the inside only of the first rental home (of five for the season).   Very new, extremely clean beautiful house.  Wondering if we are the first to rent it since they built it last year.  Picking up my sister at the airport this afternoon...no Mapquest this time!!

Our home for two weeks in East Blue Hill ME, located on an inlet other side of Mount Desert Island (Bar Harbor).  Owners have supplied brand new kayaks to use...maybe by this weekend.

Lots of birds we can see through the windows.  Waiting on my bird feeders to arrive.  😉

Bucky walked down to the water with his rain coat on, watched a huge Eagle eating some fish on the shoreline in front of the house.

Thanks, was happy to find it available for a two week stay.  Booked late, being a replacement for Allure cruise we were supposed to be on this week.
