Are Pinnacle Club members allowed into the Suite Lounge on Oasis?

In the 2 to 3 months preceding covid, Anthem's lounge was still a CL, but consistently only Suite and Pinnacle guests were allowed in. In January, one of the officers let it slip that it was going to be that way from then on.

No.  But those I spoke to were doing back to backs.  Some more.

Spent 12 days on Allure one year ago.

First time I ever wore a lanyard.

STAR/Pinnacle/Prime 😎

Wore my Pinnacle name tag as well

What I didn't do was go to SL or CK, no reason

@twangster is correct though. Suites alone can overwhelm the CK/SL on Oasis.

And @Milwaukee Eight is also correct. On 'some' sailings, Pins overwhelm the facilities.

In my often stated opinion, the real problem is that CK wasn't designed for folks to eat every meal. It was a Dynamic Dining venue that has suffered under its success. I'm pretty sure when Royal invited the JS's and Pins to use it, they only counted on people eating there two or three times. And that includes suites

Add in 50 - 60 or more Pinnacles....many who want to eat there B, L and D and the dynamics change. Our last cruise in Feb'20 on Allure they had a few table with Reserved for Pinnacle signs on them. Pinnacles were told they could make reservations for 2 nights for dinner. Many were unhappy and bugged the head of CK to allow them in on other nights. I felt bad for him as he was trying to keep everyone happy. Going forward.....especially with more making Pinnacle something may have to change.

I'd honestly be happy with dinner twice a week up there, but go back to a 2 menu offering. 😉 Some menus are awful

I do love B and L up there daily, though. Rarely crowded for that.

We have a suite next year on Symphony.  We will probably still get the UDP and doubt we will even make it to CK for dinner.  Breakfast and lunch do sound good.

@ourusualbeach do you get suite loyalty pts with royal up.

I'm not asking about suite perks. I said with royalup I was told you don't get the extra loyalty pt.

She says casino upgrades get them. RoyalUp probably it's own rules

Not sure what you are doing wrong with the tagging but unless it shows up in blue it doesn’t actually tag the person.  This is how it should look @firefly333.

figured out what you need to do. As you type after the @ the persons name appears and you have to select that instead of continuing to type.

Give Pinnacles stand by status... have them line up outside the SL and if there is room is the lounge, call out their name, and issue them a pass.

I’ve suggested Allowing access by points. Let Royal determine what a doable number of people in SL/CK.  They can sign up by day and highest points has access first and then work down based on occupancy

I was there starting Jan. 5th and left in Feb. to board Serenade, for 31 nights so, yes. The CL was restricted during that time.  I heard that there had been a sailing in Dec. in which D+ was allowed in. When I boarded Serenade, the lounge was also restricted to suite and pinnacle guest as well.

Lol what is the CL again. Too many abbreviations.  I get CK, SL, DL ... now we have  too full CL?

The problem is that all those statues these days dont really speak for themselves. The status can be positive but you give them a call and receive a completly different information

We pretty much only eat breakfast in CK and, as John suggests, filet night.  In all of my times on an O or Q class, I have never had lunch in a CK.  Frankly, on cruises we very rarely have lunch anyway.  Just too much food to eat 3 meals.

Lunch for us has usually been something quick at the WJ.  Even with the UDP we never used it fir lunch...too much food.

It's not my/our job to figure this out.  Royal can.  When I have seen it work, the concierge had a list of the suite guests and cleared the lounge of all but them.  After the first two or three nights, no problems.

Indeed not anyone's job.  My point was that there are too many who post of complaints about those "pesky Pinnacles" who are taking over the SL, without stopping to think that that there are many in there of whom are also suite guests.  Too many are blinded by those pins and make assumptions.

Looking forward to sharing the SL and CK with you during the TA next year, Pat.   As a lowly Emerald, will you be embarrassed to be seen with me even though I'm booked in a suite? ;o)  Then again, you're booked in a "lowly" Grand Suite and I'm in an Owner's Suite, so maybe just call it a wash? ;o)))

Me too.  We mix it up for dinner, with some of the menu choices pushing that envelope as well.  And

like you, we adore CK for breakfast and lunch, (when we are not wandering around in port for lunch).

Definitely the best night for CK!  👍  But no sauce...ick on that stuff...ugg!

We also love 150 Park Central Park on formal night for that Tenderloin for two.  🤗  Rare carnivore B2B feasting for us .  😉

Oh you are toooo funny!  😅  Silly girl, of course we would love to have dinner with you in CK!   🤗  We don't spend a lot of time in the SL, except maybe to hang out just after we get back from port, have a glass of wine and a beer at the bar, before we head back to the cabin.

Most times we simply have our own wine on the balcony for our own happy hour before dinner.  If we get to CK and have to wait for our table for dinner...yeah, then we will have a drink, but only if a spot at the bar is open.  On our next B2B on Harmony, we are doing CLS cabin...far too easy to just walk back out for second glass of wine in our cabin, should it be too busy in CK.  😉

One does one's best to bring a smile to the faces all around ;o)  Since this will be our first time in a "grown up" suite ;o) we're looking forward to spending some time in the SL and doing most of our dinners in CK.  We'll probably get the 5 night dinner package at some point to try out the other restaurants (really looking forward to 150).  We aren't big drinkers, but won't say no to a nice glass of wine with dinner.  I'd rather have a Baileys on the rocks pre-dinner.  I'll try not to holler down the side of the ship to get your attention on the balcony ;o)

I’ve never said Pinnacles were “pesky”. I have an issue when the SL/CK is too crowded. There are times when Royal needs to address the situation. I have many friends who are Pinnacle.

Why you keep going in this direction is beyond me. SMH

I've never seen anyone suggest that somehow having Pinnacle status should not allow you to utilize suite benefits when you are staying in a suite.

The number of suite guests is somewhat of a constant, regardless of their status.  The number of Pinnacles (or D+ in the CL case) is the variable and that variable is both highly elastic and growing.

This entire thread is Pinnacle Envy. Yes - people who have spent $500,000+ on status are important. And right now, given the precarious nature of the industry, are even more important. Who else would be putting down $10,000s on deposits right now?

IMO - suite guests just as important.  Doesn’t mean both can’t coexist.
