  1. Good afternoon. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. Rabbit, Rabbit, White Rabbit.

    Law and Loyalty are important. I'll salute those fortunate to be couples. Interesting quote. I'll pass on the meal (not a pesto fan). Yes to the drink (with Coke Zero). Pass on the drink due to cost. I have been to Juneau. A good day in history.

    It's another warm and sunny day here. I slept about 6 hours, more like my normal amount. No special plans today.

    @StLouisCruisers Thanks for our start today. Cool on the owl nest at DD's house! Great Juneau photos. The stocking is coming along and looking great.

    @kazu Thinking of you today on this sad anniversary.

    @dfish Safe travels today.

    @Denise T Nice photos.

    @smitty34877 I'm glad you saw the Rheumatologist and got some treatment recommendations. I'm glad you have someone you can call to help with lifting Tana.

    @grapau27 That looks like a nice lunch out.

    @RMLincoln I hope DH is holding his own with the pressures and massages needed for his eye.

    @ottahand7 The swans are beautiful. And thanks for the Juneau photos.

    @cunnorl Sorry to hear about the AC woes.

    @Quartzsite Cruiser Lovely Juneau photos from many trips there.

    @Cruzin Terri I hope your internet and communication troubles are now permanently behind you. I hope you and Jim are doing ok. Appreciate your Juneau photos.

    @ger_77 I'm glad to hear that Maurice has an unofficial go-ahead for the TAVR.

    @marshhawk I hope there are some answers for Chuck today.

    @Cruising-along Great photos.

    Prayers for the Care List and Cheers for those Celebrating.

    We were supposed to do a helicopter ride and land on a glacier, but the weather was not good and it was too windy. So we went whale watching instead.

  3. Good afternoon. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily.

    I'll support animal advocacy. Not sure about Beltane. Bugs Bunny was ok when I was a kid. Good quote. Ok to the meal, pass on the drink and yes to the wine. I've been to Maui, but not Kahului. I had Mr. Potato Head when I was growing up.

    It's warm (70F) and cloudy. Rain is on the doorstep. I woke up at 5 and went back to sleep until almost 9 - almost 9 hours of sleep! BFF and I made a road trip to the post office, my first time out in a car. I'm not sure what's on for the rest of the day.

    @StLouisCruisers Thanks for starting us up. Great tree by DD.

    @aliaschief Thanks for checking in; sorry the weather isn't sunnier.

  5. Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily.

    The Peace Rose is very nice. Wishes for those in need by the Make-A-Wish Foundation is a great thing. I like a good zipper, especially 2 way zippers in my bulky winter coats. Excellent quote. Maybe on the meal and the drink. Pass on the wine. I haven't been to Kochi. I'll salute the tearing down of the Berlin Wall; I've seen the remnants around Germany while visiting.

    It's going to be hot here today. It's already 66F and sunny, going up to 80. I slept well last night. BFF went home as he had some early morning appointments. He'll be back this afternoon. I'll just be hanging out here at home, reading and trying to walk around a bit more. I still have incisional pain and can't bend without discomfort (I'm not supposed to any way).

    @StLouisCruisers Thanks for our start today.

    @seagarsmoker It's good to hear that the new job is going well.

    @marshhawk I hope DH gets some help at his Pain appointment.

    @LambKnuckles I'm glad you're ok, but sorry the storms took out some of your electronic equipment.

    @smitty34877 I'm glad you were able to get in to see the Rheumatologist so quickly, and I hope that will help you out. I'm hoping you have less pain today.

    @RMLincoln Prayers that Richard's eye appointment shows good results.

    @ottahand7 I hope your Rheum appointment goes well.

    Prayers for the Care List and Cheers for those Celebrating.

  7. Good afternoon. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily.

    I'll salute Brave Hearts and those dealing with scary pediatric cancer as well as those protecting children from abuse. Superheroes can be inspiring, both in movies and real life. OSHA is important for worker safety. Good quote. Maybe on the meal. Pass on the drink and wine. I have not been to Kobe.

    It's already 76F and sunny. Soon a bit of AC may be needed. I slept about 8 hours; I had some trouble falling asleep, likely due to daytime naps (I'm going to try to cut those out). BFF and I have been watching movies and hockey. He got 1 piece of art up yesterday, 2 more to go today. Otherwise, just chill, read books, relax. I did get the indoor cacti fertilized, in preparation for being put outside next month. I hope to start moving a bit more next week. I hear people out mowing, taking advantage of the dry weather after all the rain we've had lately.

    @StLouisCruisers Thank you for our start today. I hope Linda is not having much pain any more.

    @grapau27 I appreciate the link and the explanations. Your lunch looks delightful.

    @Cruzin Terri Condolences to Jim on the loss of his friend; I'm sure his family will understand that he can't make the trip there.

    @dfish Have a great time meeting up with old friends and colleagues.

    @rafinmd Thanks for the maps, and the history of the FR/Daily milestones.

    @RMLincoln I'm glad Richard is doing well, and is there to help you through this difficult time.

    @ottahand7 Good luck with the plant sales; it seems to be a lot of work to get ready for the sale. I'll take the flower pics, as I don't eat seafood normally (only shrimp).

    @smitty34877 So sorry to hear about the shoulder and RA flare. I'm glad the aide could come to help. I'm sure you're doing what you can to ease the pain - heat, NSAIDS? I fear an RA flare, having to be off my meds for 6 weeks post surgery.

    @ger_77 DD's Kevin is very cute! Enjoy visiting with Wayne and Fran; I hope he doesn't have too serious health issues.

    @bennybear Great photos from Kobe and Kyoto.

    Prayers for the Care List and a Toast to those Celebrating.

  9. Good afternoon. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily.

    Happy King's Day. Yum, I like devil dogs cakes but don't have any (I didn't know of the military connection). No dog here. Children should be taught to save. Good quote. Maybe on the meal. Pass on the drink and wine. I haven't been to Ilulissat.

    It's partly cloudy and in the 60's. We had rain starting early this AM. I heard it at 4AM. I briefly woke up at 2, 4 and 7AM, getting about 7 hours of sleep. The wound area is now very black and blue, but not more painful. No big plans for today, although maybe having BFF hang some pictures.

    @StLouisCruisers Thanks for our start and the photos.

    @grapau27 Thanks for the Devil Dog info.

    @aliaschief Appreciate your sharing your journey. Hopefully no pirates around!

    @MISTER 67 Congrats on the golf tournament. Are you doing the 7 day cruise?

    @rothbury Thanks for the Rotterdam photo.

  11. I hope all in the path of storms stay safe.

    @Quartzsite Cruiser My instructions were the bandage was to come off after 24 hours. It had one small speck of blood on it, that's it. The wound is glued. I have to be careful not to let waistbands come across it, otherwise And I'm trying not to bend much. I just had BFF clean it with a baby shampoo solution daily and dry it. They just said not to soak it, like with a bath. I'm lucky to have BFF looking after me!

  12. Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily.

    I'll salute the Audubon Society. No Australian here to hug. We shouldn't forget Chernobyl and what it entailed. Funny Mel Brooks quote. Pass on the meal (fish), drink (well maybe yes to #2) and wine. I have been to Burnie, but not Hobart, Tasmania. Container ships are something we now rely heavily on.

    It's already 61F and sunny. It will be a nice day, and rain tomorrow, before the big warmup. I stayed downstairs in the recliner last night, and got in 7 hours of sleep (yay). Still a bit stiff and sore, but I think it's starting to ease up. The furniture restorers were just here, dropping off my reglued and reupholstered dining room chairs, and taking an antique table to work on. BFF is going to his house for the afternoon, to mow the grass and do some other things. He'll be back this evening. I think I'll get my first shower, using the walk-in shower here on the first floor. I have instructions to stay off the stairs! I think I'll catch up on Call The Midwife, something BFF wouldn't want to watch with me.

    @dfish Happy Birthday! And safe travels.

    @StLouisCruisers Thanks for our start today, and the Hobart photos.

    @grapau27 Thanks for the explanations of the days. Nice beach scenery.

    @MISTER 67 I hope your TB Lightning can rally back.

    @seagarsmoker Great photo.

    @smitty34877 Safe travels to your family traveling back to NH. I'm sure it was so nice having them there for a while.

    @Mr. Boston I hope the open houses yield a buyer! Safe travels to ME.

    @ottahand7 Hugs on the sad memory day.

    @marshhawk My head spins regarding your work, but I'm glad you got some hours. Enjoy your Thai lunch!

    For me and DH it’s been a long month this week!  But we’re good!  very, very good! So grateful!

  15. Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily.

    All 3 days are worthy of celebrating. My salon just closed, but fortunately my stylist is moving to another one in the same block. Good quote. The meal sounds good. Yes to the drink and pass on the wine. I have been to Greece, but not Santorini. A good day in history.

    It's cloudy and cool here. Well, I went upstairs to sleep last night, but my sleep was less satisfactory. It was hard to scoot toward the center of the bed, and then get settled. Then I tried moving the head and foot of the bed, but that wasn't comfortable either. I finally fell asleep in my old position, but only got about 4.5 hours of sleep. I think for now the recliner is more comfortable, given the incisional discomfort. It wasn't due to leg pain or tingling, however. So back downstairs tonight. BFF is very attentive, being behind or in front of me on the stairs.

    @ger_77 Happy 83rd Birthday to Maurice!

    @StLouisCruisers Thanks for starting us up, Sandi. Great Santorini photos.

    @smitty34877 I'm sorry to hear that Tana has had more difficulties, but so glad the NH family and the teenager are there to help out.

    @aliaschief Wow is right! Great photos.

    @Seasick Sailor Oliver is so cute!

    @0106 Nice photos. As you can tell by my avatar, I'm a penguin fan.

    @Haljo1935 So sad to hear of the loss of life at that school shooting. One shouldn't be afraid to go to school or send your children. I am sorry you had to cancel upcoming cruises, but pray your health issues resolve so that you can cruise again.

    @Quartzsite Cruiser Lovely Santorini photos.

    @marshhawk Thanks for the Santorini photos. It was good to hear the news that Chuck's cancer is receding. Now to work on the stent.

    @Cruzin Terri I hope you get some answers from the doctor today about the medication.

    @cunnorl Congrats on the trivia win!

    @Sharon in AZ I hope the doctor has some ideas to get DM feeling better when she goes back today.

    Prayers for the Care List and Cheers to those Celebrating.

  17. Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily.

    I'll pass on Sauvignon Blanc day, as I mainly drink red wine. I'll celebrate St. Mark's Eve. I hope animals in labs are treated humanely. Interesting quote. I'll pass on the meal (fish), yes to the drink and pass on the wine only due to cost. I haven't been to Leknes.

    It's 54F and partly cloudy. I stayed downstairs again last night, in the recliner. I slept about 6 hours, which isn't far off my usual amount before the leg issue. Still no pain and no tingling, yay! My back is stiff and sore when I move. I put my compression stockings on this AM, which was a chore. So far I'm mainly using Tylenol and the muscle relaxant. I think I'll try going upstairs tonight. BFF and I laugh, as I change his MOHS dressings and clean the wounds, and today we'll remove my dressing.

    @StLouisCruisers Thanks for starting us up today. Nice photos from Leknes.

    @grapau27 I appreciate the explanations.

    @aliaschief Wonderful photos. Thanks for sharing.

    @RMLincoln Prayers for DH's eye check today. Your plans for today sound wonderful. Safe travels tomorrow.

    @puppycanducruise Ugh, snow!

    @marshhawk I hope DH tolerates his treatment well. I heard that endless shrimp practically bankrupted Red Lobster. I don't know how you keep track of your work and who you're working for.

    @LambKnuckles Great scenery. And congrats on the quail babies.

    @Cruzin Terri I'm sure it's disappointing not to be going on your trip. It's good to hear you are getting most of your money back. I hope you can maybe do some closer trip in the near future.

    @ger_77 Continued prayers for a positive decision on Maurice's TAVR.

    @Seasick Sailor Prayers for your friend in ICU from heart failyre and the one with a 2nd stroke. I'm glad Allen's Dupixent arrived. The cost for some of these meds is ridiculous.

    @smitty34877 Prayers for Tana, you and the family.

    @lindaler I hope all is ok with you.

    @mamaofami I hope you and Sam are doing well.

    Prayers for the Care List and a Toast to those Celebrating.

  19. Good afternoon. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily.

    I'll salute the English language and English muffins. I knew nothing about Impossible Astronauts. I'll disagree with the quote. The meal looks good. Pass on the drink and I can't afford the wine. I have been to Kona.

    It's 61F and sunny out, but I'll be indoors. I was to arrive at the OP surgical center at 10am yesterday, for 12pm surgery. But I didn't get taken back until about 12:45, as one of the surgical trays wasn't there. Then there was all the prep. I only remember a large room, with a lot of equipment and trays of equipment, as well as an unusual face down type of bed. I didn't have to crawl onto that, as I was out before then (I pity those lifting me onto it). The procedure took about 3 hours. BFF says when the surgeon came out to talk to him, she said it was much more messed up and more involved for her, and she could understand why I had so much pain. The next I remember I was in recovery, shivering away. My temp was down and they had me on a warming blanket. Finally I was ok to go, around 7:30. Unfortunately my meds, something for pain and a muscle relaxant, were called to my pharmacy, but it was closed by the time we got home. Pain wasn't much, and I had a previously ordered muscle relaxant and took that. I was in my recliner, and BFF made me soup. Next thing I know, it's 6AM! I slept about 7 hours in the recliner, and had another nap after posting the Cares List, so almost 9 hours of sleep! I'm sure some of that was from the anesthesia. Best of all - NO LEG PAIN! No tingling either. I am stiff and a bit sore, but that's to be expected. I appreciate all the prayers and good thoughts - they worked!

    @marshhawk Happy, Happy 70th Birthday Annie!

    @cunnorl Happy, Happy Birthday Charlene!

    @Haljo1935 Good luck with the eye procedure. Thanks for the photos from Kona.

    @RMLincoln Prayers all goes well with DH's eye surgery.

    @StLouisCruisers Thanks for starting us up. Lovely photos.

    @AncientWanderer So good to hear that the cruise is great. Beautiful photos from Japan.

    @kochleffel Thanks for the drink recipe.

    @smitty34877 Good news that the NH family has been so helpful. I'm glad you get a bit of a break. Continued prayers for Tana, you and the family.

    @aliaschief Nice photos. I hope the person airlifted off the ship will be ok.

    @Quartzsite Cruiser Great Kona photos.

    @ger_77 Prayers that Maurice gets his surgery soon.

    Prayers for the Care List and Cheers for those Celebrating.

    I visited Kona in 1992 on a trip to Hawaii. I used to shoot slides back then, but scanned some into the PC. I was at the Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park.

    This  ‘place of refuge’  was a safe haven for those that broke the Kapu laws, which in old Hawaii were punishable by death. If you reached the Puʻuhonua, you would be pardoned by Kahuna and given a second chance at life.
