We arrived home around 2 pm.  No flight delays but soon after we landed the sky fell in and rained heavy for a couple of hours with some winds.   

 

I think we lucked out with our 11 am flight out of Boston.

I spoke with our neighbor, the cat sitter, she said we had the same weather you had yesterday.   

She told us we have a very large branch from. Our maple tree that landed behind our shed.  Glad it didn't land somewhere else.   Eric can deal with it tomorrow while I go back to work.

Back to reality.   

 

Funny thing happened....we ordered hoagies from Lee's and when we were done eating both Eric and I got up and walked away with plates and cups still on table.   

About 20 minutes later I walked back thru kitchen and realized we were Not in the WJ or MDR as noone cleaned up after us.  

Not sure who will make my morning coffee, maybe Wawa.🫠

You sure do have fun themed birthdays in your family, Mark!

Friday was also my granddaughter Ava's 18th Birthday.  Her College roommate, as well as her other new College friends, surprised Ava by decorating her room while she was at Class.  

Happy Birthday Ava.   That's so nice they surprised her by decorating her room.  

That's great she is making some good friends, possibly life-long friends.

I think Kansas City broke the internet with Taylor Swift at the Chiefs game to watch Travis Kelce. I’m not sure if they are officially dating but boy the tabloids were out in full force. Whatever it may be I hope they are both happy and having some fun.

I'm glad you didn't have any delays with your flight and you and Eric got home safely.  It sounds like your Cruise was pretty awesome!

I found some of the food prices to be a bit much.  $8 for a coke, $8 for a bag of popcorn, which I did not buy.  My $15.95 chicken quesadillas were actually quite good. All in all, a pleasant afternoon.

We go to movie studio grill a lot , wife always gets a large popcorn or two and two large glasses of Chardonnay, I get a margarita (but enhance it with extra tequila that I bring in) , I did love original “Greek wedding “ . 
     Loved watching big win by Buffalo Bills also loved seeing cowboys lose , also had small win a my monthly poker game so a good day.

I think most people these days use their phones (or seatback screens) to watch movies or surf the internet during the flight, and light from the window makes glare on their screen.

We made it to Venice!  Our flight was on time and pretty smooth.  Venice is just gorgeous and we love the Hotel Fontana, a great recommendation from @dani negreanu.

Boeing did such a great job with the 787 project. It looks really comfortable and the larger windows is such a nice improvement.

 

I always enjoy the flight over the alps on the approach to Italy. They are beautiful.

 

 

Nice photo of the Bridge of Sighs and Piazza San Marco.

 

I'm not sure where the hotel is located. What is the address? How pricy is it? It might be a place for me to look into in the future.

 

Please keep the pictures coming. I truly love this city on the sea. I wish you an awesome time in the Motherland!

We had a great time.  Good steward and great MDR team.  One night the chef had an off menu Grand Marnier soufflé!  Enjoyed both house bands; they change but we always find them really talented.  One band, Carib Sensation, had an amazing keyboardist.  He played the piano with his left hand and another type of keyboard (synthesizer?) on top of the piano with his right hand and he never even needed to look down at the keys!!

 

If you remember, I posted a couple months ago that my pet sitter had a meltdown and I had to find a replacement…. Well, the retired vet tech that was recommended to me by a kind neighbor was fabulous!!  She made videos daily and had both girls eating out of her hand…rubbing against her ankles.  They even did what she calls “bunny hops” for her.  That’s when they hop up on their hind legs to rub their head against her hand.  I’m jealous!  They seldom to that for me! 😸
