Royal Caribbean Cruisers -- How Are Things Where You Are? (was "Routine" 😁 day in lockdown... how was yours?)

He has an echidna in the snow too. But the Wombats are cuter. Charles Davis lists the prices in GST.

Green Satoshi Token (GST) is the utility token of the STEPN ecosystem, it's used as an in-game currency and alternative to experience points. GST is required for repair, upgrade and mint NFT Sneakers. GST can be earned when users move in Solo mode or Background mode.

How much is GST token worth?

The current price is $0.034144 per GST. Green Satoshi Token is 99.62% below the all time high of $9.028265. The current circulating supply is 534,490,594.703 GST.

I have no idea what all that means. 🤷‍♀️ After we get this house fixed up and sell it and move, I will revisit his art. When we are furnishing the other house, where it actually snows. 😊 Thanks. It would probably be a good time to buy, if I could figure out what it meant. 🤔

Hi Carol, GST is Goods & Services Tax.  We pay 10% on goods and services bought/supplied in Australia (with some exemptions).
Prices on his website are in AUD and include GST.

He has a physical gallery in Cooma (45 mins from Jindabyne) and he specialises in photos of the Snowy Mountains region.  His online shop photos are of birds, dingoes, horses, eagles & raptors, monotremes (such as Echidnas), Kangaroos & Wallabies, Night time creatures such as possums and sugar gliders, landscapes and of course wombats.  There is a range of wombat in the snow photos.  Ours is Guthega Wombat 2.

Its says on his website to make an email enquiry for overseas purchases.

The tourist place had a beautiful coffee table book.  I almost bought it.  Only realised when I was looking at his online site just now that it contains his photos…

Good luck with the sale & the move and hopefully having a Wombat in the snow photo on your wall in the future.

No idea, but I think it's silly every time someone catches Covid they say that's it's  great now I have immunity but yet you hear people getting Covid 2 and 3 and 4 times...........So what is it?

I think because there have been various strains in the last 3 years is why people have had covid more than once.  Not sure if they ever determined how long natural immunity lasts, same goes for boosters.

My Doc told me wait a min. Of 90 days from from my covid recovery before getting my 3rd booster.

As with many microbes, becoming infected produces natural antibodies. That doesn't mean you can't become reinfected. It means subsequent infections will either remain subclinical (produce no symptons), or have milder symptoms, and hopefully will be of shorter duration.

What is pretty clear, at least to me, is that becoming infected produces antibodies to many more proteins of the covid virus than the vaccines do. This should provide better protection from subsequent infections since, as the virus mutates, you have better odds that you will have antibodies that match up with some parts of the virus.

Just think it's way to early if years from now what  effects Covid has on the people that did catch 1 strand or 2 strands of the virus..........At this time no one knows what the long term effects Covid might be for all these people that did catch the virus.............So still think it's better for people that never caught the virus.

So I WISH some people would stop saying they now feel better since they eventually did catch it.

I would hope people would still think it's not a good thing to have caught the virus.

no one seems to be worried here which almost makes me worry more 🤣

I recognize one of the names on the wall..Bobby Nagel.  Unfortunately, we, especially Jim of course, knew many of the men who lost their lives that day.

Great. Not a debate I wish to have.

Jimbo, think of it as plan A and plan B.  Plan A is best if you never catch the virus.  Plan B is inevitable.  I think I had it last Xmas, but I tested multiple times and never tested positive.  I took a test for fun last spring when I was having seasonal allergies, and it showed positive, so I went and got tested 3 more times within a few days and all were negative.  So, how do you know you actually have been infected.

So, when Plan B occurs, it is for the best, as it may help you in the future (no guarantee).  I felt like crap after both of my Pfizer shots.  Who knows the downside long term of those, it hasn’t been studied yet.  So, that part of Plan A may be worse than Plan B.  I don’t know you don’t know.  Judging when you don’t know is just….

I wasn't judging anyone,  it's all just so unknown. Just don't know why some people say what they say. Better to say nothing about it  don't you think?

There is tests that can tell you if you ever had Covid in the past, No idea how much they cost or if they are covered by health insurances.

Antibody (Serology) test.

Sure, don’t bring it up since it is unknown.  Putting a positive spin on a bad thing is human nature.  Trying to change that seems like tilting at wind mills to me.

+1

Both times I've had it (luckily with very mild allergy-like symptoms), my wife had worse symptoms at roughly the same time.  Both times, she tested negative multiple times while I continued to test positive.

Thanks Arzeena.  I tested because I had  cold symptoms.

How are you feeling today. I feel a tiny bit better but still feel tired and doing some coughing and blowing my nose. I do t think I’ve ever had a fever. Made a call to my Dr. to see if I can get a prescription for Paxlovid to speed up recovery process.

I feel significantly better today Greg, thanks for asking.  Just some minor congestion.  I haven’t had a fever at all and the only headache I had was the sinus pressure type.  I hope you continue to improve and hope Linda stays negative.  Andy’s still fine.

I have one correction to make.  I have worked in real estate/mortgage business since early 90s.   Majority of sales the buyer is responsible for certain closing costs such as Title search, title insurance, their closing agent or attorney fee, county recording fees and a portion of the transfer taxes.   If getting a mortgage then add more fees for buyers side of the transaction.

Some States handle certain fees a little different but nowadays it is rare for a seller to pay All buyers closing costs so you did get a good deal in your negotiations with seller of your new home.

Well, as I said, in our case there was no mortgage.  We did pay $22.75 in recording fees.  I realize different states do things differently…but this has been the case with all house purchases we’ve made in Georgia, and now Florida, when paying cash.

Do you have Appraisers to determine the property value?    We do.

Yes, it is my understanding that mortgage banks sometimes send an appraiser, depending on the amount you're asking them to provide....

The only mortgage we ever took was in 1973, when we got married, and it was for a young couples special subsidized plan. The flats were build by the Ministry of Housing, which took care of all the formalities, and you had to buy them "as is". It was a small flat, 4rd floor, no elevator...

After 7 years we were relocated to Brussels, had very nice salaries for 5 years, saved enough to buy another flat without mortgage 😉

The saga of my eye continues.  My doctor visit on Wed., a day after cataract surgery determined that a scratch in my eye was causing me so much pain every time I blinked, which was rubbing against the scratch.  He explained how the scratch probably happened but not sure why he couldn't see it at the conclusion of the surgery.  He numbed my eye, put a contact lens in so that my lid would not rub against the scratch and I walked out pain free.  However, as the day progressed I experienced pain again but not as severe as before.

This is not the positive experience everyone I spoke to had.  All said no pain after.  Surgery was Tues and I still have pain and can't see clearly out of that eye.  Yet, here I am typing.  AND I have to go through this again in 2 weeks to have the other eye done, hopefully with no scratch.

On a happy note, my foot (ankle surgery) is much better!  Yay!

I skimmed through over 10 pages on here and I know I missed a lot.  I did note that Greg and Deb have covid and hope both have very mild cases.

Marietta, your daughter's beautiful wedding picture saddened me.  Continued hugs to the whole family.
