Carnival cancels until oct 1... I’m so over rebooking I think I will wait until next year . I actually tested positive for covid yesterday feels like the flu Royal should pick a date they know for sure they can resume instead of this month by month crap it’s annoying dirty planes and casinos are open I don’t see one worker cleaning slots but cruise lines are closed makes. NO sense if I had a comp cruise with Royal from caisno booked for aug can I switch it to next year? They should go honor that!!!

If you are using your annual "complimentary" cruise, that will be extended. If it was one of the random offers, then no, you cannot reschedule because the offer codes have expired. I have already had 2 random offers cancelled, and will have 2 more when they hit this round. Clun Royal has stopped the offers fir now, and the representative I talked to said they would not be making anymore offers until cruising actually resumes.

Get used to it and don't book anything before 2021.  We moved all our cruises, next one is October 21'.  Now we can relax, plan a couple months in Florida next winter, and watch the chaos in the cruising world without sending them any money.

Unfortuntately, neither Royal or anybody else knows “for sure” when they can resume. Yes, it’s annoying but the current course of extending cancelations every couple of months is the best that they can do. I personally chose to save myself all the aggravation and don’t have any cruises booked until sometime in 2021 and 2022.

As a side note, airplanes haven’t been this clean since they came out of the factory. I’ve witnessed the deep, thorough cleaning that takes place before every single flight. Matrix 3 fogging, each seat deep cleaned with the same type of cleaner, new protocols that limit interaction between passengers and flight attendants, limited prepackaged service items, sanitizing wipes handed to every passengers for further cleaning, everybody required to wear a mask, middle seats blocked, and air filtering that recycles all the air in the cabin every 3-4 minutes, which moves vertically limiting the amount of air that passengers share. If anything, an airplane is probably one of the most sanitary places you can be at right now.

No one knows when cruises will resume. I am starting to think there may be no cruises to / from the US until there is a vaccine or cure if you test positive. That could be months (or never) according to medical experts.

We took a refund for our May Mediterranean cruise that was canceled and are using the Lift & Shift Option to move our November cruise to November 2021. Cruises will either be sailing by then or many cruise lines may be out of business. We have a great rate locked in and are only risking the $ 500 deposit, so it’s worth the risk for us.

Got that right, flew 2 weeks ago and never seen plane that clean and i flew on one several yrs ago that we were first passengers. Was 70% Full but I had Exit Row to myself, both sides. They wouldnt even let anyone change seats. All i could think was ok me alone on this side, nobody to open other in an emergency.  But I swear carpet and all surfases looked like fresh out a box

Someone tweeted them yesterday about their September sailing and they responded that they will make their announcement on June 23rd, which is tomorrow.

John Heald confirmed today that all sailing through the end of September have in fact been canceled. 😪

We have 3 cruises booked.............2 in September 2021................Alaska and Europe......will only be doing one, that is if they are sailing by that time. Will decide which one to cancel once we see how the NEW cruising looks.................3rd cruise is from Florida (Tampa) Rhaspody of the Seas in March 2022.........and who knows about that ship even being with the fleet by that time.

All other cruises in 2020 is just a pipe dream for the CC members who still believe sailings will start up again in 2020.

I'm not a believer of that happening, wish you all luck.

I think they will be canceling through 2021 shortly. I never thought it would happen but it sure looks that way. I am seriously thinking of moving my November cruise. I don't want to, but the prices when we can go are palatable.

Sorry to hear about the Covid diagnosis. Unfortunately, no one really knows what is going to happen. The cruise lines are all just hoping and praying.

So much uncertainty at this point. Sorry to hear about your diagnosis, hope your case is mild.

My husband and I were scheduled to sail on the MSC Seaside in their Yacht Club in April. Of course that was canceled. We took the 125% FCC and re-booked Seaside for October 31. (We have 3 reservations for our family)  This morning I got a call from my oldest daughter saying she received an email from MSC. We're now sailing on a completely different ship, the Meraviglia.  No notification for us at all, not even an email.  When I logged onto my reservation earlier today it showed the ship change with a GTY cabin. It changed an hour ago and we now have a stateroom assignment.

They just decided to move MSC Seaside to Port Canaveral beginning November 2020?

I'm a big planner, and no nothing about this new ship, deck layouts, etc.  My husband's actually delighted because it's a newer ship with a galleria (what they're calling a promenade), and he goes with the flow.

And we really have no idea still if this new cruise will end up being canceled.

John Heald is tweeting about Carnival, not RCI.  RCI will make an announcement tomorrow 6/23.

Thank you for the clarification. I was confused as to who they were referring to since they just referenced "them."  I have a feeling they all will follow the same suit.

I LOVE, LOVE the Meraviglia. We sailed aboard her in the Mediterranean in an Aurea Duplex Suite (their version of Royal’s Crown Loft Suite). The only ships I’ve sailed on that have more of a “wow” factor than Meraviglia have been the Oasis class of ships. Enjoy!

It is a world wide pandemic and a novel virus, meaning no one knows anything about it. It is not acting  like any other virus ever seen. The scientists are in a steep learning curve. If the scientists are just learning, you can't expect CEO's of companies to have any idea what is going to happen in the next month, let alone next year.

Everyone is working on current knowledge which changes and updates weekly.  Only time will tell.

Time is all the scientists around the world have.  So, it is expected to see things change constantly.  No one knows if a break through will happen next month, next year, or next decade.  It is frustrating, but with something so infectious and so new with no previous knowledge of it, no one can predict the future.

Best wishes that you navigate this virus safely and come out the other side healthy.

Great to hear! Did you know that those Aurea Duplex Suites on Meraviglia are now part of the Yacht Club?
