The ships are small and don't compare to RCI but hey, it's a cruise - plus there are some incentives: "The line will restart operations with one of its two cruise ships, Grand Celebration, and its second vessel will return to service early next March. As an incentive to book now, it is offering the public a "buy one cruise, get one free" deal over the Labor Day weekend. All passengers who book with a departure date between January 1 and April 30, 2021 will be allowed to sail again for free at any time between mid-August 2021 and the end of February 2022. “Now more than ever, we can all use a getaway but we know that times are tough for so many, given all that has happened this year,” said Khosa. “With our new [offer], we’re excited to give travellers the chance to book two vacations for the price of one." https://www.maritime-executive.com/article/bahamas-paradise-cruise-line-schedules-restart-for-november-4 Do they need approval from CDC? If they're carrying more than 250 passengers and stay overnight they do. I think their capacity is about 1000 -- not sure if it goes by capacity or actual passengers. Not sure that sailing at 25% capacity would be profitable for them. If CDC extends the no-sail order they will probably be grounded as well.

A lot of us start to be realistic and are realizing it that November seems almost impossible for cruises to resume out of the US, likely not before begining of 2021. I’ve had nine cruises cancelled already and strongly suspect this be will the 10th, but I am still hoping to go. It is a casino comp, so I can’t L&S and a refund would be only $239, so I will really hate to lose it. Still, that is what I expect. We are also booked on that cruise via comped casino offer and the port is a short drive for us so hope it is a go but will not be shocked if it gets cancelled. Cheers, good luck and happy cruising.
time4u2go Posted September 7, 2020 #89 Share Posted September 7, 2020 (edited) As others have stated, I would be concerned about the possibility of being quarantined in my room or having to stay on board for an extra two weeks. There is also the question of what the on board experience would be like. Would masks be required? Edited September 7, 2020 by time4u2go

COFlyers2 Posted September 7, 2020 #91 Share Posted September 7, 2020 (edited) Question for those hopeful out there 🥰 - The check-in is somewhat different, with later (much later) port arrival times - To anyone who has The Key who has checked in for a late 2020 cruise - what port arrival times were available to you. I think that may be a 'changed' perk for The Key??!! Edited September 7, 2020 by COFlyers2

I'm starting to become skeptical of early 2021. I have a B2B in February 2021 and I'm starting to believe that those cruises are unlikely. About the only thing that November means to me is that I have to make final payments on non-refundable fares for cruises that probably won't happen. We did the L&S for our B2B in January 2021 as we don't think they will go and don't want to make final payment. We opted for the L&S because we also had non-refundable fares. Don't forget, that option ends on 30 September, unless they extend it, which is no guarantee. 🍷

Those are my concerns as well and even if things go smoothly there is the possibility that I would have to quarantine for 2 weeks when returning to NY. We aren't retired so that's not an option for us. Land vacations aren't even an option for us now. Any place I would want to go I would either have to quarantine when I get there or I would have to quarantine when I return.

That is the same time I had available - hoped The Key would be better 😉 The ships are def planning to leave late, if we go - the port arrival time options were late! If they cancel February 2021 I'll use the FCC to pay for our August Iceland/Greenland westbound TA in August and a eastbound Panama Canal cruise in October. If those get canceled. I don't have a good plan.
