@Overhead Fred Wow, that squirrel looks so odd. Sometimes I see black squirrels here, but have never seen a white one. Although on NextDoor people have posted pictures of a white raccoon in the area.

@Overhead Fred  I've never seen a white squirrel before.  Thanks for the picture.

I am sure it is an albino squirrel, they pop up around here every so often.

I think the black squirrels are a different species of squirrel rather than a genetic oddity.

Good Evening Everyone, thanks for the daily fleet report.  I’m very late today.  Today was a mandatory in office day for a company meeting.  My day started with a new credit alert.  Based on the details from the bank the tablet seems to be the weak link, spyware.  I reset it to factory settings, updated software, reinstalled antivirus and am adding back in apps only when the password and username have been updated on a trusted laptop.  I even updated cc password.  Hopefully that will be the end of the problem.

@kazu I like the idea of Shadow coming to a loving and caring home sooner rather than later.  The rushing to get new things will be worth the effort.

@Cruzin Terri, I hope you are having a wonderful time. I know you have mentioned having carpal tunnel surgery and I was wondering what all is involved?
Thanks

I had CTS in both wrists.  In all honesty, on the left it was done along with ulcer nerve repositioning.  That was major surgery.  The doc did the CTS because it was about time rather than do it later.

On the right hand it was done a few years later.  It was pretty easy.  I had my hand wrapped for a few days, did some PT and it was over.  However, now I am back to the beginning and need it done again.  I have a lot of pain in both hands and cannot keep getting steroid injections.  i will need to see the hand surgeon to set this up.  Have an appointment on Aug. 4.

Terri

@SusieKIslandGirlThanks for reminding us of the Military/First Responder OBC in last week's Fleet Report and Daily. I filled out the form for my three upcoming cruises and received $100 OBC for each cruise. I also appreciated that you included a link to the page: Military, Healthcare & First Responder Appreciation Offer | Holland America Line

Question of the day:

How many of you have a "junk drawer" in your home?  The reason I ask is that today one of my Southern in-laws posted one of those "southern memes" on Facebook that says only southerners know what that is....I countered with I'm not Southern and I  have 2 drawers I call junk drawers. 😉  She was surprised.  What surprises me is that anyone would think that's only a Southern term!  I have heard it all my life.

Canadians and other nationalities please chime in too!  🙂

Just two junk drawers?  😉

There is a lightning delay in Orlando for the big soccer game Michigan Tigers vs LA Surf.  There was only about 7 minutes left in the game.  So far we've been waiting about 40 minutes.  Hope things get started again very soon!😬

Well, I guess I am the odd person out. I do not have any junk drawers! All my rubber bands, clips, tacks, staples, have their own little cubby. What even goes in a junk drawer??

Junk!!  lol

I sure will let you know.  Don't want to say anything yet because that could jinx the whole game.

I started to say that I have one in the kitchen but realized, after reading other poster’s answers, that I have three. One in the kitchen, one in the entryway and one in my bathroom. I thought everyone had a junk drawer, where does one put things like rubber bands, scissors, paper clips, pencils, markers, etc?

Good early evening!  Thank you to everyone for the Birthday wishes for Craig. We went out to lunch, Craig had his usual pizza and I tried a chicken wrap, very out of the box for me, I’m not a huge fan of chicken, but all the ingredients sounded so yummy together. I forgot to take a picture but here’s a screenshot from their menu.

Then we got gelato, we shared one.

I have been to Avalon, Catalina twice. Most recently this past October on the Koningsdam, Jane @lazey1, Maxine & DH @AncientWanderer, Linda @lindalerwere also on that cruise. Linda arranged for Seth Wayne to join our M&G, he was very entertaining and has quite a history with cruising. (Sad he’s no longer with HAL.). We just walked around the waterfront area and had lunch. It was a very enjoyable day. I went to look at the pictures I took and Craig must have taken them because I only have our food.
Calamari and Sand Dabs.

Have a great evening!

I'm happy to announce the third game of the series was also a win for the Michigan Tigers against LA Surf 3 to 0.  They go to the semi-finals Saturday morning at 8 am.  In their 3 games this week they scored 10 points and their opponents scored zero against them.  No one was injured tonight that I know of so a lot better game than last December against this team.  🏆

I have a junk desk, a junk buffet, a junk drawer in the kitchen and a cruise drawer in the guest room.  I now own an empty set of drawers, guess I could start stuffing them.... Way too much stuff that doesn't get used.

@StLouisCruisers Fantastic for the Tigers!

@aliaschiefenjoy your trip!

Good night sweet angels!

An early good morning from sunny central Texas.  I need to make a quick trip to the grocery store and want to get there and back before it gets too hot.

We'll celebrate the day of the dog in memory of our two dachshunds.  We celebrated junk food day yesterday with hot dogs and chili cheese Fritos last night.  Now the Fritos are the only junk food in the house.  I try to be someone every day.

An interesting quote today.

We'll pass on the meal (I don't like meatballs) and the drink.  The wine sounds nice, but very pricey.

We were in Avalon on Catalina Island in March on Koningsdam.

@Sharon in AZ  🎂 HAPPY 70TH BIRTHDAY, CRAIG! 🥂

@bennybear  Brenda, sending good wishes that your DH's surgery today goes well, and that they get all of the melanoma easily.

@aliaschief  Safe and sane travels today.

@smitty34877  Terry, cute picture of Fred.

@marshhawk  Glad you are feeling better today.

@cat shepard  Great meme the girls picked out.

@grapau27  Pauline looks lovely as usual.

@Heartgrove  Safe travels tomorrow.  Enjoy the wedding.

@StLouisCruisers  Good luck wishes to the Tigers tonight.

We were in Avalon on March 25 and again on March 28.  It was a sunny, pleasant day on the first stop and windy, rainy with rough seas on March 28.  We only went in on the first visit, and we rented a golf cart for a quick tour of the island.

We passed the pet cemetery

The Casino, which we did not have time to visit since we only had the golf cart for an hour.

DH dropped me off at one end of the pedestrian street while he took the golf cart to the other end.
