Rare puppycanducruise Posted November 30, 2023 #4 Share Posted November 30, 2023 Good morning. Thanks for the Report. We got snow yesterday, about 10cm (4 in). Today it should get up to 7°C (45°F) so most of the snow should melt. Crazy weather. Three good days, computer security is extremely important, I'd like chocolate mousse for dessert, congrats to Barbados. Interesting quote. The meal sounds good, I'll pass on the drink, hope I'll like the wine. Prayers for everyone on the Care List. Cheers for all the celebrations. Have a great day. Stay safe.
Rare Crazy For Cats Posted November 30, 2023 #5 Share Posted November 30, 2023 Good Morning, thanks for the daily fleet report. Today should be a little warmer than yesterday getting into the 40’s. I’m curious about today’s meal suggestion and will wait for @dfish recipes and pictures, I know the spinach would need to be replaced. Getting to Iceland is on the bucket list for us. I hope everyone has a good day today. 2013 Nieuw Amsterdam. 32
StLouisCruisers Posted November 30, 2023 #6 Share Posted November 30, 2023 Good morning friends! It's a nippy 32 degrees this A.M. but will rise to about 60 later with partly cloudy skies. We're looking at rain Fri-Sat-Sun. Thanks go to Rich @richwmn for the Fleet Report and Daily for this last day of November, 2023. Check back later today because I may have some big news for everyone.🙂 Today we get to consider and celebrate National Computer Security Day (always important), National Mousse Day (referring to the fluffy dessert) and Barbados Independence Day (good for them!). Not the usual type of quote from Mark Twain. The lasagna dish sounds different than what we normally think of. I will pass on the cocktail and wine. 🍷 Good to know about the 1487 beer purity law in Germany. Hurray for the 1872 international soccer game where Scotland and England tied 0-0. ⚽ Thanks in advance Debbie @dfish, Dixie @summer slope, and Ann @cat shepard for your great reports every day!🎉 Prayers fervently said earlier for my DB and friends in need of them, the people of Israel and Ukraine after the deaths of so many and for release of the hostages, each and every one. Prayers for all our Daily members in need of them. Hoping for an easy cataract surgery for Sharon @Sharon in AZ, reduction of pain for Vanessa @JazzyV and improvement in the health of all including Roy @rafinmd. Thank you Vanessa for your list keeping and hoping to hear better news for you soon.❤️ The port this morning is Seydisfjordur, Iceland! The last two times we had that port, June 29, 2021 and November 6, 2022 I hadn't visited there yet. But on August 10, 2023 we stopped at that lovely location on our Zaandam Canada/Iceland/Greenland cruise (along with Debbie @dfish and Sue). I'll post my photos from then but first here are the links to the previous dates for Seydisfjordur. Hoping all of you experience a wonderful, pain free day!

StLouisCruisers Posted November 30, 2023 #9 Share Posted November 30, 2023 After enjoying a nice visit to Seydisfjordur on Aug. 10, 2023 I posted the following photos. Debbie @dfish your photos are on post #45 on page 2 of this link. The Zaandam Work being done on mountain side behind houses The church, which wasn't open this morning at 10 am like the sign posted said it would. I may go back to see the inside after lunch. Here are a few more of the town and buildings along with the beautiful water here. My favorite photo of the day! Isn't it gorgeous?? a pedestrian street The indoor pool The roof of the Art Center and Bistro being painted by that guy on the roof. Metal roof and a long pole. The meager produce department at the supermarket. That's all for right now. Loved the sunshine! 29

Rare kazu Posted November 30, 2023 #11 Share Posted November 30, 2023 Thanks for our Thursday Daily, Rich and thanks to Ann, Dixie, Debbie & Vanessa. Good collection of days especially computer security & hurrah for Barbados. A good mousse is delish! Intriguing quote by Twain. I think I get it. Interested in today’s meal recipes. I used to do a chicken and broccoli lasagna. Wonder if it is similar? Frustrated - can’t get home from FLL on the same day next year after I disembark my cruise. Trying to figure out best strategy. No appointments today so I will see if I can get some decorating accomplished or, at least some Christmas cards. I am just not in the mood for Christmas - at least not yet. Happy Roy @rafinmd is heading home. Please be careful, Very, very safe travels to you,Roy and do see your physician when you get home. Prayers for those on the Care list, those suffering losses, health challenges, pain, worries & those that need them 🙏. Cheers for those celebrating and cruising 🥂 Have a good Thursday everyone. 25
Heartgrove Posted November 30, 2023 #12 Share Posted November 30, 2023 Thank you Rich, thank you Debbie, thank you Vanessa, thank you Ann, and thank you Dixie for all your work. And thank you everyone for being here! Today's port is famous for being the backdrop of the Icelandic thriller "Trapped." Sue and I visited while aboard the Viking Sky as cruising resumed in July 2021. For that cruise we had a daily PCR test, carried a proximity monitor, and were masked except when in our stateroom. It is a small remote town that sees the weekly ferry to Denmark. The airport is over a pass and approximately 25km away. Our included VO excursion consisted of a walk along three blocks of the town. I do recommend watching watching "Trapped" and it's sequel. A very picturesque country that is worthy of a visit although I would recommend a driving trip to really pemetrate the natural wonders. Stay Safe, and prayers for those in need. - Jack 27
Rare Denise T Posted November 30, 2023 #13 Share Posted November 30, 2023 Happy Thursday. Thanks for the Daily and Fleet reports. This crazy weather! After several cold and windy days, it will be sunny with highs in the 50s. Working from home. Between seeing clients, I will be recording videos for my upcoming classes. I love doing that. cat shepard Posted November 30, 2023 #15 Share Posted November 30, 2023 (edited) Thank you for today’s FR & D, Rich! It was 42 this morning when Bindi and I headed out. But if today is anything like yesterday, I will be thrilled. Clear, cloudless, bright blue, sunny sky with a hint of a breeze. Picture perfect. Vanessa, thank you for capturing & sharing our happenings! I was shocked to read what you endured yesterday. I hope today is 1,000 times better for you. Praying that you get permanent relief for your pain - soon. Gym, Bindi walks, lots of chores & maybe a visit to my local wine bar. One of their featured wines this week is a Pinotage. A unique wine created by a hybrid grape made from Pinot Noir & Cinsault. Sounds fascinating. Anyone familiar with this wine? Prayers for all who need our support. Especially those with debilitating pain or conditions. Cheers to all who are celebrating. @rafinmd Roy, I am cheering the fact that you were discharged, but I am praying that you make it home safely & without any of the crazy stuff that travel often exposes us to. May we each find a reason to smile today! ************ 2019 Rebellious red blend This is an amazing red blend whose list of varietals reads like “everything but the kitchen sink”. But don’t let that fool you, it is smooth, dry and a bit on the bold side. Consumers give it an excellent review. Readily available with online prices starting at $16.99. Winemaker Notes This wine presents abundant aromas of dark cherry and strawberry jam, brown sugar, dark chocolate and cola with hints of cardamom, black pepper, sandalwood and licorice. The bright and vibrant entry accentuates flavors of fresh blueberries and allspice that linger into a creamy, rich mid-palate and ends with a luxurious finish. Blend: 42% Zinfandel, 27% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot, 7% Petite Sirah, 7% Syrah, 7% Mourvèdre, 1% Sauvignon Blanc Edited November 30, 2023 by cat shepard 21 9
Seasick Sailor Posted November 30, 2023 #16 Share Posted November 30, 2023 Good morning Daily-ites Prayers today for Sharon's surgery, Roy, Tana, Vanessa, Sue, and all needing extra thoughts. After leaving dinner last night we headed to the Crow's Nest for a quiet nightcap. Two officers came by and asked about our cruise, what we liked and what needed improvement. Never experienced that before. It was very nice. We got a $50 pp off gift card, to be used on our last port day. HMC. I'm not wanting anything now, so maybe we will get another gift card next cruise. Today after we finish breakfast I want to have a pool day. We are hoping to get our patio door fixed today. I don't have the strength to get it open and even our steward said he struggles with it. The front desk called and said it would get fixed today. Fingers crossed. Sandi... GWC?? 31 1

cunnorl Posted November 30, 2023 #19 Share Posted November 30, 2023 Good Morning from a cool but sunny day at the beach It is currently 64 degrees and going to mid 70s today. Bright and sunny so it feels warmer. Computer Security is very important. I have a nephew that works in that field and it is quite scary. I really enjoy a good chocolate mousse. We are scheduled to go to Seydisfjordur this summer on the VOV. Thanks @StLouisCruisers and @Heartgrove for the pictures. Looks beautiful. @Seasick Sailor We had a similar experience on the Noordam last year. We were sitting out by the pool in the evening and 2 officers stopped to talk to us. Asked about our cruise, where we were from etc. It was a very pleasant conversation. They acknowledged us by name every time they saw us after that. Roy @rafinmd Be careful driving today. Really hope that you are feeling better. We are decorating the library tree today. It is a big one so I am hoping a few more people come to help but probably not. Stay safe and enjoy today Charlene 28

aliaschief Posted November 30, 2023 #23 Share Posted November 30, 2023 (edited) Good morning everyone. Finishing my cup of coffee then headed to local lab for a non fasting lab procedure. So many last minute appointments which are mainly one year follow ups. Like to get them out of the way as I don’t need anymore “surprises.” We have been to today’s port of call. Just a beautiful place to visit. Tonight is our church small group annual gathering and pot luck dinner. Always a nice evening of camaraderie and great food. A little warmer this morning at 40 and will top off at 52 F. Just saw that Henry Kissinger has died. He was a 100 years old. So many of our Daily subscribers are having significant health issues. I continue to include you in my daily devotionals. Thanks for the reports. Bruce Edited November 30, 2023 by aliaschief 12

Rare ottahand7 Posted November 30, 2023 #25 Share Posted November 30, 2023 Good morning everyone. I will celebrate a good sugar free chocolate mousse. My Norton reminds me of computer security multiple times per day it seems. A shout out to all in Barbados. A good quote by Twain. I will pass on the lasagna, the minty cocktail but today's blend wine suds good. Thanks for starting us off each day. Prayers for safe travels for Roy to return home to Maryland. Thinking of @Sharon in AZ as she has her surgery today. Lenda, so sorry that your washer has gone kaput after it being so new. Prayers for everyone on our care list, those in war zones through no fault of their own, Ukraine, Israel and the innocents in Gaza. Prayers for the hostages all to be released. Heading out to get my nails done and head to Walmart, mainly because we are out of eggs. It is a balmy 30 degrees and sunny but messy weather predicted for tomorrow and Saturday when I have to drive 20 miles to our garden council's greens sale. It is not enough to keep customers away I hope, mainly a cold rain. Have a lovely day today! Nancy
