BS Avril. I get more interest on my current account than from the Building Society. An instant access BS account pays better interest than leaving it under the bed, but only just.

🤣 Obviously BS meant Building Society. I hope Avril doesn't think I called her a Brussels Sprout.🤣

All that aside it’s been a very heartbreaking day for me today with 3 families I know off ( friends) have Covid and one seriously I’ll in hospital, another friend I know has just been diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer and another friend’s 2 year old son died yesterday afternoon of a rare form of cancer after being in hospital for a whole year with treatment, I really do appreciate that all the nhs staff do and I pray that we all come through this very soon with all these vaccines now and we all stay safe and well .

Purdey, I’m so sorry to hear this, how very tragic. Thinking of you.

I'm so sorry to hear your news, your friends' situations must be such a worry for you. I've no doubt that they will all take some comfort in your friendship and support.

Best wishes to you and them.

Exactly.

I had an appointment at the recycling centre (aka dump) earlier this week. Simple rules, only one person allowed out of each vehicle and a mask must be worn.

There were 3 other cars there, all with 2 people unloading and none of them were wearing masks. Hopeless.

On a lighter note our older guinea pig Patches was grumpy and growling constantly for days. At first we thought our younger guinea pig Lulu (who thinks she is a mountain goat) was annoying her but it went on for so long that we decided it must be more than that. Eventually I realised that her grumpiness coincided with a few days of feeding them kale after the supermarket had run out of spinach. I got them some spinach and she's fine now. No more kale then...

Its a horrible wet and foggy start here with black ice underfoot, we have a snow warning for later. Stay safe everyone.

Not too bad at the minute in my little bit of Yorkshire. Wet overnight and sleet/snow forecast for later. Take care.

I've just realised we're all back to saying Stay safe and Take care to each other🤔 Hopefully it won't be much longer before we're saying 'Enjoy your cruise'🤞

Freezing and snow here this morning.

I wish we were all saying

Take care and stay safe friends.
