Rare aussielozzie18 Posted July 21, 2023 #98833 Share Posted July 21, 2023 Good morning. Last night we were in the city to see a play based on a classic Australian book. Today, it will be sunny but tomorrow will be a day of rain. Might go to the movies - we are currently spoilt for choice - Barbie, Oppenheimer, Mission Impossible and Indiana Jones. My daughter and her friends all went and saw Barbie last night. Special pink sessions have been selling out here. My friend’s son and his friend group are 4 boys and one girl so they are seeing the double bill of Oppenheimer and Barbie. Hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

They are small replicas of real Dutch buildings and they're filled with Dutch gin. I've got house number 87 (Het Peperhuis in Enkhiuzen) and house 72 (Singel 87 in Amsterdam). Frequent KLM flyers collect them and many have all 103 houses...some even 2 or more of each house. I would have loved to fly KLM more often but I usually ended up on Delta. I think KLM has better service than Delta. It's only a 2 1/2 hour direct flight.............Economy is $186 and Business is $1031....way to much for Business Class on such a short flight. How many bags can you bring and what is the cost of bags on KLM ?

But I do get it, seems like the city is a victim of it's own success. No time line is given. And on a related note, thank you @singinalot for directing us to Bimmer09 reviews. My first time reading one of his reports & I was hooked instantly. I kinda want to do the exact trip he took. And @singinalotI think it's already been decided but please do a trip report for your upcoming trip. It can be Live, Semi-Live or after-the-fact, do it however is best for you but just do it! 🙂 Love his trip reports.

Autocorrect can be surprising! Agree that Tony Bennett was one of the great ones! He was a native of Queens,NY too! It ls like it thinks it knows better than I as to what I want to say. 1

Rare h20skibum Posted July 22, 2023 #98840 Share Posted July 22, 2023 Had a little cleanup to do this morning, after last night’s storm. This afternoon, I met my daughter for a little outing. She was watching their friend’s kids today, and I think she wanted another adult to help out. The kids grandfather had a ruptured aneurysm last year that resulted in an amputated leg, and he has had some setbacks, so their parents were taking care of things for him today. Daughter and I kept her two, their friends two, and my CA grandson busy. Someone mentioned herding cats, and that describes keeping track of five kids. Sometimes you have to just toss the boys in a spider net. The kids all had fun panning for gems. My granddaughter geared up to do the obstacle course and zip line. She was disappointed she had to do the smaller one. It will be two more years before she is old enough to do the bigger one. Popcorn, smoothies and a movie tonight.

TravelGirlinDallas Posted July 22, 2023 #98842 Share Posted July 22, 2023 Andrew tried the escargot tonight and liked it! He ate them all. New normal? The entire hallway was like this. Paradise Beach was packed today. When it started raining, the staff made everyone leave the beach and go under the roof where the bar is. The rain really cooled things down, though, which I appreciated.

People don't want the stuff hanging around in the cabin. 2

I remember my dad talking me to a French restaurant in Manhattan when I was in my teens and trying that , they served them in the shell and it was delicious.

Husky1987 Posted July 22, 2023 #98849 Share Posted July 22, 2023 Family reunion (wife’s fam) weekend in Lincoln City, OR. Pains me to say, but the Oregon coast is so much better than the Washington coast. Staying at a campground a couple minute walk away from the family AirBnB. 35ish people (wife is one of seven kids). Just finished peeling, dicing, baking potatoes for tomorrow morning’s corned beef hash. One highlight in the midst of family fun…finding a bourbon in an Oregon liquor store that is rarely on the shelves in Washington. Any more screaming kids and I may have to crack this tonight 🤣🤣
