Good morning friends!  Yay, it's Saturday!  The weather report for me is a temp of 64F.  Today will be a partly cloudy morning and sunny afternoon with a high temp of 83.  The new neighbors who bought Brenda's house plan to begin moving in today.  They have had painters over there the past 4 days refreshing the interior walls.  At a little over 5000 square feet, there are a lot of walls!

Thanks Rich @richwmn for the Fleet Report and Daily.  Chic Spy Day is interesting and I guess a well dressed spy might be more successful than one who wasn't. 😁 I always try to do something nice, but getting funky doesn't sounds like me.  I like the Emerson quote.  Another breakfast meal today and I suppose the broccoli is somehow added to the egg.  I've never heard of a Lucky Irishman cocktail.  The wine might be okay so I would give it a try.  The first item on the Today in History section is extremely tragic, however the other three are big moments.  "Love Me Do" was a cool song and so different than other music of the time. Thank you so much Debbie @dfish, Dixie @summer slope and Ann @cat shepard for the great reports today.

Prayers for Annie and Chuck, Roy, Tana and Terry, Nancy’s DB Nick, Joy’s DS Bonnie, Melisa and her DH, Ann and Pat, Jacqui, Dixie, Elizabeth, Terry and Jim, Carol and Sam, Debbie and anyone else in need of them.  Also my DB, the people of Israel and Ukraine, the hostages still held, our men and women in uniform in the region, and the folks impacted by Hurricane/tropical storm Helene.  I hope all of you celebrating a special event, cruising and preparing to cruise have a wonderful day!  Thank you Vanessa @JazzyV once again for reading each post and keeping the lists updated for us all.

The port is Bimini, Bahamas.  This was the port one time before on Sept. 18, 2023.  I have not spent any time in Bimini.  Here’s the link for your convenience in retrieving past photos.

Hoping we all have a wonderful Saturday, and please try to stay safe and keep well.

I found a few other important days to recognize today including World Teacher's Day.  I've already told my DD about it and thanked her for all she does for the children she teaches.  Thank you to all the teachers out there!

In addition it's Bookshop Day and for my friend Dixie @summer slope World Card Making Day.  Dixie is great at that!

Good morning.  Happy Saturday.  Thanks for the Report.

Cool and clear this morning.  I repotted a couple of hibiscus plants yesterday and brought them in.  I still have some more gardening to do before winter, I hope to get some more done today.

Three interesting days.  I always try to do something nice.

I like the quote.

I'll pass on the meal, not sure about the drink and YES to the wine.

I've been to the Bahamas, but not Bimini.

Prayers for so many.  I hope there are lots of celebrations, no matter how small.

Have a good day.  Stay safe.

The Lucky Irishman cocktail is a delightful blend of Irish whiskey, coffee liqueur, and Irish cream, creating a smooth and indulgent drink that pays homage to the rich flavors of Ireland. This cocktail is perfect for St. Patrick's Day celebrations or any occasion where you want to savor the taste of Ireland in a glass. With its creamy texture and balanced combination of flavors, the Lucky Irishman is sure to become a favorite among whiskey enthusiasts and cocktail lovers alike.
Ingredients:
1/2 oz. kailua
1/2 oz. baileys
1.5 oz. irish whiskey
Directions:
In a shaker with ice add the Irish whiskey, coffee liqueur, and Irish cream liqueur. Shake well until chilled.
Strain into a rocks glass filled with ice. Garnish with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cocoa powder(optional).

Happy Saturday. Thanks for the Daily and Fleet reports.

Busy day. Dropping car off for inspection. Pets are all going in for boarding today. 😌I will miss them terribly. Laundry and then finish up last minute class stuff. My sister has yet to start packing. Oh well. Got an email from the hotel in Quebec that they are working on the elevators so there may be some delay in getting to our room. Again, oh well.

Thinking of all on the care list.

Celebrating with all who are celebrating.

Have a safe and healthy day.

Good cloudy morning. It’s supposed to be a beautiful sunny day with a high of 75. I wish it would stay like this forever.
Tonight starts the Halloween season with a parade in one of the suburbs People have had their lawn chairs out saving spaces since last week. It’s a good parade and the weather forecast is perfect.
Blessings and prayers to all on our journey.

Thank you for today’s FR&D, Sandi & Rich!  Yesterday was a picture perfect Fall-ish day. Great for the morning hike at a local state park. It was great to see my friend’s Brother. We stayed with him & his wife after our Alaska cruise a few years ago. She couldn’t join him on this visit, but we did a face time chat last night at supper time.

Vanessa, happy to read you are enjoying the cruise. Hope you had a great birthday celebration & that your leg garment is helping.

No gym this morning. Kayaking at another state park. Heading out before the showers move in. Then an evening at the beach visiting some of our favorite haunts/restaurants with Bill. And Bindi will get her walks in & her treats and snacks, too.

Good morning everyone.  Thank-you for our daily report, recipes and lists.  Do chic spies still exist?  My favorites were Roger Moore and Agent 99 from Get Smart.  I won’t be getting funky but I will try doing something nice.

Isn’t the quote just the truth?

The meal suggestion sounds like it might be a nice breakfast.  I would try the drink on St. Patrick’s Day only because I’m not a beer drinker.

I have not been to today’s port.

Praying for those on our prayer list.  Cheers to those folks who are celebrating happy events today!

Good morning everyone and Happy Saturday. Thanks for the daily Sandi and Rich.   Every day is be nice day.  A good quote.  We have been to Bimini but never got off the ship. Pass on the broccoli, yes on the cocktail - looks like a great dessert, and pass on today's wine.  Thanks for researching these for us each day!

Thanks for the cares and celebrations reports Vanessa.  I hope you are having a lot of fun on your cruise.  Thanks for Roy's update yesterday Lenda, keep up the good work Roy!  Prayers for Tana and Terry, I hope you have help this weekend and the teenager had a good football game. Prayers for Annie and Chuck, Annie you have a lot on your plate.  Prayers for Terri and Jim, I hope the driver's license was found.   Prayers for Ann, Melissa, Jacqui, Leanne and everyone else who are ailing or grieving. Prayers for the victims of Helene and the people of Ukraine.

I didn't get much done outside yesterday because it was gloomy and cool until 2pm.  I did spray Wet and Forget on deck surfaces, green starts to grow after a wet summer.  I am visiting DB this morning and we are going to the sports book for lunch and put bets down on this week's and next week's Ravens and Vikings game.  We will be in Baltimore next weekend so it would be problematic there.  Happily we have three tickets to cash today from last week.

I had to call DB with bad news yesterday. I contacted a new malpractice attorney and since he waited so long to make a decision the statute of limitations has passed.  In MI it is two years. Have a lovely Saturday!  Nancy

Good morning, everyone!

I finally fell asleep around 2 am last night.  It will be a long day today. I think we're finally have to work on the leaves as we've run out of other things to do instead.  I'm going to wait until it warms up a bit.  Currently it is 35F but we are supposed to have sunny skies with a high around 70F.  It is 64 in the house and I am freezing.  Sue thinks it is just fine.  I think we have an issue here.

@kazu Ivan's fence looks really nice.  No reason for anyone to complain except they are unhappy to start with.

@rafinmd Roy, it sounds like you are doing a spectacular job in rehab.  Keep it up!  We want you back to full power.

Today's meal is a repeat from earlier in the year.  It is one that bears repeating as it is quite versatile.  You can swap out the broccoli for ham and Swiss, or spinach, or sausage, or whatever you like.  You can also make them ahead and store them.   Broccoli and Cheese Egg Muffins

broccolicheeseeggmuffins1.thumb.jpg.5f1ebc1d21b9afcdff89122090c02933.jpg

This one mixes in some Greek yogurt and mustard powder.  Sounds interesting.  Broccoli Cheese Egg Muffins

broccolicheeseeggmuffin3.thumb.jpg.ff3c1049dd0d5d8183fe07b4382ca07b.jpg

Green onions make the dish in this recipe.  You could also add in the fresh herb of choice.  Broccoli Cheddar Egg Muffins

Bimini this year on the Eurodam.  We stayed on board and enjoyed the beautiful weather and water.   It was substituted for Key West so it was a big let down.  In lieu of port photos some food porn from the PG that night.

Good morning.  Thanks to all who contribute to this thread.  Amazing all the people who are present here each day.  I started reading at the beginning of the pandemic interested in how folks who were on ships were getting home.  Now a visit here is a part of my morning routine.  Prayers for all in need and happy to read about Roy’s progress.

This weekend will be mostly filled with church, going to a local Amish chicken barbecue for dinner and baseball playoffs on tv.  Being a NJ/Mets girl is interesting in the land of the Phillies.  May the best team win — of course I mean my team.  😀

Best wishes for a great weekend.  Katherine

Good morning. We received some lite rain yesterday but when one looked at radar one would have thoughts of a lot more. It’s supposed to be gray skies today. No major plans other than we are having the couple across the street over for dinner. Going to be a chicken parmigiana dinner which Susan does a great job of making.

NASCAR racing from Talladega is always exciting so that will be on the weekend agenda.

Maybe there is more to add but right now coffee is first priority.

Here’s sincere wishes to all of you for a wonderful weekend and prayers for the thousands whose lives have been devastated by Helena.

Thanks for the featured post and to all who contribute to the Daily. B.

Good Saturday morning to all.

Thank you to Sandi @StLouisCruisers for your dedication to the FR&D.

Thank you Vanessa for keeping up with us even while on your cruise.

Thank you Debbie for the recipes and Ann for the wine and Dixie for the drink recipe.

I have not been to Bimini.

The quote is quite true.

Roy @rafinmd, it sounds like you are progressing well.  I hope this continues and you will soon be able to return home and able to live unassisted.

@ottahand7 praying for your DB

Sandi, praying for you and hope you can get that biopsy soon.

Terry, @smitty34877 praying for you and Tana and the whole family.

@kazu Hope you are settling in and find the missing items.

@Nickelpenny prayers for you and your family.

As for us, things are about the same.  Drivers License is still AWOL.  I am going to do another search of the house and if it is not found, I will let it go.  We will go to the DMV and get another one.

On a happier note, yesterday I got a call from a charity where I bought a raffle ticket.  I won $500.  Nice surprise.

And finally, thank you to all who wished us a Happy Anniversary, especially to any of you I may have inadvertently not mentioned yesterday.  I appreciate the well wishes.  We had a nice day.

I hope everyone has a nice Saturday. We are expecting rain.  So we will plan on indoor activities.

Stay well and God Bless

Terri

Good morning from a cool central Texas.  It is 63F with a 2mph breeze from the NE, 84% humidity and a dew point of 58F.  Our predicted high is 91F late this afternoon.  Since it's Saturday, it's yard work day.  In addition to the usual mowing and trimming, I'll be doing the winterizing fertilizing plus spraying weed killer.  This need to be done while it is still warm enough for the grass roots to grown.  This week is an off week for the Longhorns, so there is no football to watch today.

I'll pass on Chic Spy Day, but I will try to do something nice today.  Getting funky today probably won't happen.

An interesting quote by Ralph Waldo Emmerson.

The meal looked familiar, and I remember saving one or two of the recipes.  A big no to the drink, but would try the wine if offered.

We have not been to Bimini.

One sad day today, and three good days to celebrate.  My favorite is The Beatles release of "Love Me Do".

@ottahand7  Nancy, I'm sorry your DB waited too long to file a malpractice lawsuit.

@dfish  Debbie, I hope all the leaf raking will help you sleep better tonight.  BTW, 64F in the house is too cold for us, too.

@erewhon  That is good news the rain has stopped.  I hope all the damage from the rains can be cleared soon, and that the people who's houses are uninhabitable have a safe place to stay.

@TAW1963  Welcome home.

@Haljo1935  Welcome home, Elizabeth.  I hope you had a great cruise, and were just too busy having fun to post.

@Cruzin Terri  Terri, congratulations on the raffle win.

A few sips of coffee and Susan informs me the neighbors are coming tomorrow night and tonight we are having sloppy Joe’s which is one of moi’s favorites. Sue has been struggling all week on what day it is which is very easy to do when retired.

Now back to our regularly scheduled programs. 😉

Good morning. It is 62 going to 75 later. I have not been to the port and the recipes sure look good. I think I am beyond the “get funky” plan but we all had a laugh over it this morning.
DB took me to see “Dr No” in my youth. I reminded him of this and his reply was “I didn’t always tease you, sometimes I was nice”. Of course we never informed the parental units of this transgression.

We are planning to cook outdoors later but the menu is up in the air. Our teenager has a game later and DB and DD  will go watch while I man the home front.

I was so happy that Roy is doing so well in rehab and wish him continued success.

Debbie @dfish, I am sorry to hear about your insomnia. It is really hard to get through a day on very little sleep. I hope that a solution is found soon.

Is it the pain that keeps you up?

Take care everyone

Thanks for our Saturday Daily, Sandi and thanks to Vanessa & our F & B team.

A cool morning here but it’s October.  Hopefully the sun comes out.  Thanks for the kind words on Ivan’s fencing.  I just have to make sure he doesn’t bark (yikes).  He let one out this morning but like the good dog he is - he listened and that was it.

Debbie @dfish so sorry that you too are sleepless 😞 - you would be surprised what some people here will complain about.  LOL.  My sister and BIL said it was karma that this apartment became available when it did.  My patio is not like the others (nor is my apartment).  I wouldn’t be able to do any fencing with the others.   This one was pricier but I have room to play fetch with Ivan inside and the “backyard”  was fencable if necessary.

37 minutes ago, Cruzin Terri said:

@kazu Hope you are settling in and find the missing items.

Can’t say I’m fitting in yet, Terri but I’m learning.  It’s the best place for me right now until things are resolved.  By then, I will know if I want to stay or go elsewhere.  I’m afraid my missing items s are gone in Never - ever - land.  I just keep ordering from Amazon and Costco. (I hate to see what they all add up to). It’s the things that can’t be replaced that trouble me.

The day will be filled with Ivan and more cruise work.  I’m determined to be done before Monday.  I have to be.  Besides, it’s depressing working on a cruise I’m not going on.

Prayers for those on the CAre list & those that need them.  Cheers to those celebrating and lucky enough to cruise.
