We’ve got a couple of happy Astros fans out my house tonight.

Wonder how many Astro's were using illegal bats for that game? Can't the Astro organization play any games with an even deck? Why do they feel the need to play games like this?

Next Sunday we board Explorer of the Seas for our B2b cruise, thanks to 2 casino vouchers for a free cruise.  DW picked this cruise, even though we have to travel further south to Miami.  And for the first time since 1999, we have an inside cabin. But, we have the same cabin for both cruises. The prize for this cruise will be that we will hit the magic 700 points on the last day.

We cruised a lot on Explorer, our first D+ cruise was Explorer, and the last cruise was when she left Bayonne to make room for Quantum, and we got a block for 350 points during that cruise. Then we moved to Florida a month later.

We have done 11 cruises this year, 7 booked with the 2 points promotion, 2 without and 2 casino vouchers.  These cruises made Allure our most cruised on ship, moving  Explorer into 2nd place.

When we went on our first D+ cruise, we met a fellow in the Concierge lounge named  Tony, from NJ. Better known by his CC name Kewlguy , who later became a CC host,

he was telling everyone that the D+ would be excluded from the Concierge Lounge, starting a wave of people booking multiple B2B cruises in Junior suites.

Kewlguy, like Bob, just stopped posting one day and hasn't been seen since.

Everybody knows the best BBQ restaurants are in Kansas City.

1. KC

2. Austin

3. St Louis

4. Memphis

5. N Carolina

I would agree with that!

Have a great cruise. Go see bartender Norvo in the Schooner bar and tell him Hi from Greg Sea Dog and have him make you a Baton Rouge 2.0.

Never really saw him much after those early Explorer cruises, but we did run into him on a Brilliance repo cruise from Boston to Tampa. We saw him when we first boarded, and he was talking about the M&M event, and he had CC stuff to hand out. It was only at that point that I figured out that he was Kewlguy, and when I saw him in the lounge and asked, he was surprised  that I  did not already know. He actually gave me his card , that I might actually still have somewhere.

I know there are plenty of folks who say it's gone downhill, but I've always been a Bryant's guy.

also, nothing says Kansas City like walking into Gates and hearing "Hi! May I help you?"

There are so many good BBQ restaurants here. I love them all because they are all different. Lately I love going to Joes BBQ and Zarda BBQ. They each have that sweet sauce which I love.

Just saw this on FB.  Watch What Happens Live will be broadcasting from Celebrity Beyond on November 1st with all of the Below Deck Captains and Captain Kate.  That should be an interesting show!

May be an image of 6 people, people standing and indoor

I saw the announcement for that. I can't wait it will be really cool to see all the captains together.

In 1983 Toby and I bought our first house after 16 years of living in apartments.

The house was owned by an Architect who had to sell because he was relocating to NJ.We paid $80,000 which was a lot at that time.It was a 4 story house with two full bathrooms and one half bathroom. The area of the house was absolutely beautiful and we had wonderful neighbors.By 2000 we were the only people living on the block from those who lived there in 1983.

We kept in touch with several neighbors by phone and e-mail but aside from an occasional lunch or dinner with one or two couples were last together with everyone that we knew close to 20 years ago.A few weeks ago Toby reached out to those we are in contact with and suggested a group get together .

They are all coming to my house tomorrow. Some are coming from NJ and the others from various parts of NY.I have been looking forward to this reunion for so long and it is finally here.

I like some of the tiny bbq places in Dallas, my favorite was sunny Bryan’s they served until they ran out of food about 3 pm , you would see Mercedes parked next to 30 year old pickup trucks.

Sailing on Beyond in 4 weeks in a sky suite, the outdoor retreat is fantastic on edge class , although my sky suite might seem small my last 2 celebrity cruises were royal suite and penthouse ( move up on penthouse)

Sounds a little like my day, yesterday and today.  Blew all my leaves into piles, then did my elderly neighbor’s leaves yesterday. This morning, finished bagging leaves for this week.  60 bags this week

Ugh.

Two football games today also.  Grandson’s team had their second loss.  Next week is the playoffs.

Hopefully that’s the last one of the season.

Also watching our granddaughter cheerleading for her football team (next level up from grandson’s).  They went undefeated.

Sounds like she and her team have had a great season.

I’m repeating my “This time next year this will all be behind me” mantra.  This week our realtor is coming with his photographer/videographer to take the pictures for our listing.  I asked if this service came with a membership to Horders Anonymous.  When you have the space…you fill it.

And I have to decide on a moving company.  Alliance was the first company I contacted.  I thought the rep was friendly and helpful…until I had a meeting with an Allied rep who gave me a sheet with red flags to look for with moving companies.

Yikes!  Alliance had three of them!!  Scratch Alliance.  Of course reviews for the local franchisee of Allied run the yo-yo gamut from great to abysmal.  Sigh.  I’m less concerned about damage to my furniture because there’s nothing irreplaceable…and we’d have insurance…what worries me is the movers damaging either homes during the move.

I’m going to contact one more company Monday.  My realtor for the new house gave me the name of a great company a client of his used and was very happy with.  Their reviews were uniformly fantastic.  Unfortunately they only work in Maryland and Florida.

The 10 day forecast is looking good. Highs in the high 60's, plenty of sun.  Downright tropical for our Canadian friends and @Ocean Boy  🙂😉

My poor Koi fish!  I thought we'd be winterizing the pond by Halloween, but on these mild days, the fish are eagerly waiting for their sparse meal (sparse, since we have to decrease the amount of food in order to prepare them for their hibernation)

Attending a family wedding tonight which means another late night, although I will be limiting my wine intake as that tends to keep me tossing and turning well into the night.

Apparently, I lied. 😁

Enjoy your neighborhood reunion.  It's great that Toby still keeps in touch.

I moved into my current house in 1993 and of the approximate 30 houses on my street, all but 2 have turned over. Many are now young parents or newlyweds.  I've kept in touch with zero of my ex-neighbors.  As comedian Sebastian Maniscalco says in one of his comedy skits "I'm friendly but not neighborly".

Growing up, my parents were the first part of the skit, I'm more like the second , current day part of the skit. 😅

Congratulations Greg and Linda!!!!  After our JS on Liberty in January, we also will be Diamond for our Bella Cruise.  Our friends Carol and Andy will not be, so we won't be spending time in the DL on our B2B, but that's all right, we'll be getting our 4 free daily drinks!😉

Of course, I will go in to the DL to check it out!!😁

Congratulations.  While the access to the lounge is nice, and free drinks are real nice, the big advantage to the higher level is access to the Concierge.  Any problem , big or small, if it can be fixed, the concierge is the go to for a solution. The concierge is part of the guest services staff, so he/she can do most of the things the desk can do. Just ask.

Man, I sure could've used the concierge's help when we had to leave the ship for  Jim's emergency surgery (we weren't Diamond yet, but if we were.....)

Thanks, Ken!  What about check in time?  Is that on Adventure as well as Oasis and can I do that with just my app for both of us?  I'm excited to see the new Galveston terminal.

I started a roll call almost 2 weeks ago, for our Adventure cruise in Feb and only one person responded. 🤣

Bonnie, our roll call for Adventure was started almost 2 years ago, and didn't pick up until just a few days before we cruised.  I think we got up to page 20...

And, like Ken said, we did our check in time on the app.
