First weekend of summer party, part 2.

As the afternoon progressed, some kids from the neighborhood were invited over to enjoy the house

Suppertime is time to refuel.  What better than some baby back ribs, cheese potatoes and corn on the cob

The old man show is very interesting, love the dogs . Currently 103 in Dallas. Going for Italian tonight, most likely eggplant parmigiana.

Watching episode 2, the back story is getting a little more clear. One scene freaked me out. This is really good!

Another Broken Bone Report: Phillies Season is over Bryce Harper just broke his thumb in the Phillies Game tonight in San Diego..............Hit by a Pitch up and in, just missed his face.

Who said Baseball isn't a contact sport?

Go Eagles, when do they start? Can't get here soon enough.

Wow, I love those pics!  I want to go sometime.  Would it be a challenge for someone like me that just speaks English? 🤔

Unfortunately I'm a typical Brit and only speak English too (hubby speaks German too).

I was surprised that all announcements, cruise director etc was in English on board.  Most people who work in the tourist trade in restaurants and shops speak English. We didn't have any problems with language. Having said that learning a few words in language,  ie thank you , hello etc is probably a good idea

I have two brothers.  I always said I was happy not to have a sister because there always seemed to be sister drama.  Now that I am older and my mom is gone I kind of  wish  I had  one.

I also have two brothers. I would love to have a sister

I love the dogs also.  It's amazing how much personality they can show in their faces.  It all looks so natural too.  Jeff Bridges sits down and one of the dogs puts his head in Jeff's lap, or Jeff leaves the bed and one of the dogs jumps up and lays in his spot.  The dogs are probably highly trained to do this.  Rottweilers are supposed to be very intelligent.

Now has a taste for homosapien😉

And there’s a good reason for banning feeding gators marshmallows.
Gators love them and look for more.
Just about every retention pond in Florida has at least one gator. Just about every subdivision in Florida has at least one retention pond. And Florida has tons of creeks with multiple gators.
The good news is that they drown their victims quickly.
When they reach a certain size, they are relocated. When they attack even a small dog, they are executed. No second chances. The meat ends up Gator tail on menus.
Fresh gator toil is better than frozen!

Your radishes are beautiful.
A few years ago I learned how good roasted radishes are. A completely different taste!

Raw or roasted, I love them.

NH beach?

We got to see the sand sculptures a few years ago. Remarkable.
Y’all get a lot of use out of your limited beach.

OB's picture is Rhode Island.

The sand sculpture competition was last weekend at Hampton Beach in NH.  You can still see the sculptures on the street cam of this link.

Our 2 weeks on the island went by too quick😮💨   we had cars packed up by 10 am then went to the beach for a couple hours.   Met up with the tenants that arrived around 2 pm that are there for 2 weeks.

Very nice family that loved what we did to do the place since they were there last summer.

Picked up several pounds of fudge from Country Kettle for neighbors and ourselves.   Soo good! Eric had one more slice of Bay Village pizza and we were home around 5 pm.

Started to do some weeding today, it's really hot and muggy.   Weeds can wait.

Everything is blooming nicely.

I have some catching up to do on CC.  Been skimming but missed a lot the last couple of days.

Have a great day!  Stay cool😃

Harper has a good attitude about it: ""I kind of wish it would've hit me in the face. I don't break bones in my face," Harper said with a laugh. "I can take 98 to the face, but I can't take 97 to the thumb."

When I walk in the morning in Naples, my friend and I always look for the alligator that lives in the ponds behind our Target and other stores and restaurants.  My friend went once or twice while I wasn't with her, and she saw a woman feeding the alligator, which my friend thought was nuts.

Watching the news one day, we saw said alligator had left the pond and was caught by the Arby's in the parking lot, and was taken away.

We have an alligator or two in the ponds behind some of our condos.
