My sister was having problems trying to get rid of my moms furniture etc after she passed . Go Bills, love watching games in my living room rather than bar , problem with the Bills fan club bar was it was hard to get a good seat even 30 minutes before the game , but they did have excellent wings. Sailing in 21 days .

I predict that the team from NY will win today.

Bonnie last year I had an epiretinal membrane pealed plus cataract done at the same time with a new lens put in.

No pain but much improved vision.

The eye drops prevented any pain during the op and I had no pain afterwards.

The surgeon said I had a minor cataract in my other eye and I pushed to get that done ASAP and it was done 6 months later.

I was delighted with the result.

I only need reading glasses now and not the expensive varifocal glasses.

Thank you, Graham.  So glad it all worked for you.

The New York Marathon is today. I was going to do it but it is too hot so maybe next year🤪

Our friend once ran the NY marathon and finished well after the first crossing won.  He was in so much pain after, he couldn't go to work for 3 days and he practiced beforehand, was a seasoned jogger and seemed to be in top shape.

Kansas City Whiskey Expo

I survived the 2022 KC Whiskey Expo. Actually feel pretty good today but glad Linda and I stayed the night at the hotel.

Wow what a great experience to talk and taste bourbon and whiskey from some incredible distilleries and vendors.

I couldn't possibly taste everything but I did taste most of the VIP bottles.

Winner for me was the Hibiki 21. A Japanese Whiskey aged for 21 years. A bottle goes for a whopping $1100.

My next favorite was the

Bruichladdich Black Art Edition 10, A scotch whiskey from Scotland. It sells for $450. I'm glad I got to at least taste these because I don't think I can afford to buy any of these. Most of my bourbons and Whiskeys are in the $125 or less category. Expensive hobby to say the least.

The event was packed but there was enough vendors 50 in all that kept everyone moving. I will say that I got my money's worth of my VIP $125 ticket and the $147 hotel room. Linda got the general admission ticket that was $75 and she even played the slots in the casino and won $50. All and all a great night of fun and spirits.

The son of one of my childhood friends was on the Eagles roster in 1994 and 1995 but I do not think he ever played in a game .Jay Fiedler ,QB.

I remember him, backup QB for the Eagles but never got in a game for them. He did play 76 games for 4 other NFL teams mostly for Miami Dolphins before his career ended with the NY Jets.

Sounds like a fun evening, I would also have gotten a hotel or Ubered , we had a unlimited drink package on MSc a few years ago and had a few very nice Japanese scotch’s.

My daughter and her best friend have been trying for 6 years (including the two years they lived in London) to get tickets to the annual Glastonbury music festival in England.  Last night was their second and final attempt to obtain tickets for 2023.

So, at 8pm on the dot when the second round of tickets were released, she had her phone, her laptop, my phone, plus her dad and her brother with their devices all set up in a family room.  Her best friend in Sydney was doing the same at her house as was her best friend in England…

From 8pm onwards, I would open the door to the room every 15mins and get a sad shake of heads. At 7.50pm, DH came out and said it’s not happening.  At 7.55pm, I heard a shriek.  Yes, her Sydney BF had finally secured 3 tickets, 5 mins before the event sold out.

Great news!!  I know what your daughter, son, DH and friends were going through to get those prized tickets!  I've seen my daughter and grandsons when the latest game, etc. goes on sale at midnight....your daughter must be on seventh Heaven now that their "golden tickets" have finally been attained!

This is the weather here today. I think it’s here to stay. Driving is unpleasant because of the blowing snow, but on the other hand, it’s easy to clean up the dog’s, um, leavings!

Thank you.  I can’t remember ever doing this for concert tickets or midnight releases of anything like your grandkids, but it certainly makes them happy and yes she was  doing a happy dance..

It's 3:15 and they just announced that 512 people still haven't done their muster station.

I could have given them a pass on Symphony last week, because they didn't have the stations open at the time they started boarding guests, so if you went right when you boarded and couldn't do it, it would be easy to get caught up in eating and learning the ship and forget to go back.

But Oasis had the muster stations open with the very first guests walking on this morning. I had The Key (cheaper than Voom on sale) and I was on board, muster done, and had my laptop out in the Schooner Bar by 10:45.

It's not rocket science, folks -- go to your muster station!

Not to mention how easy and convenient it's become!!!!  No more crowds, etc.
