We have been to Cabo many times.  Living in San Diego, we used to vacation there quite a bit back in the day.   There was a restaurant called "The Trailer Park" that was very popular and fun.  

 

Three cheers go out for @summer slope celebrating 55th anniversary and for @GeorgeCharlie celebrating their 50th tomorrow.  Wonderful milestones!  ❤️  ❤️  ❤️

Our first time to Cabo was in 1984 on our first HAL cruise  aboard the Noordam.  Definitely a sleepy village, and no one spoke English.  DH and I were with my DM and step-Father, and I had to drag out my high school Spanish to order beers.  On our second stop there in 2001, it was a totally different vibe—amazing growth, and our sleepy village memories were gone.

 

My color scheme for the flower boxes on my front porch is once again yellow!  Got flowers yesterday and planting done today.

I have been to Cabo San Lucas 3 times.  The first was in May 2000 on the Volendam, then October 2002 on the Statendam, lastly December 2016 on the Westerdam.  I agree with @Quartzsite Cruiserabout the changes at the port between 2002 and 2016. We preferred the sleepy town that it used to be. 
 

On my first and second visit I took a tour that included a boat ride to the Arch. The first time we were able to sail past it to the other side and see where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific. The second time it was too choppy. 
 

The only pictures I have handy are from 2016. I was getting a pedicure before arriving. I would love to have this view every time:

We ate lunch here but I don’t remember the name, I think it was Cabo Wabo.
