R.I.P. Cruise Compass on Navigator of the Seas

We've been on Navigator for the last 3 cruises and we usually stopped by Guest Services in the evening to get a Cruise Compass for the next day.  Just like to have a printed copy to look at.  When we picked one up on Saturday night for yesterday, the last day of the cruise, we were told it's the last one to be printed on Navigator.  From now on just the app.

DH does not have a smart phone and does use the compass every day.  It will be a pain to get him to use my smart phone.  However, I can see this is a positive for the planet.  However, I will pitch a fit if I still get all of the other printed $hi@.  [i.e. art auction, chocolate diamond sales, etc.]

I agree there should be a choice.  Keep a number of print outs at GS and you have to pick them up if you are old school.

My husband and I both have smart phones, but not interested in using the app or carrying my phone around on a ship.

Fortunately, I'm not cruising until October, so hopefully enough people complain and by then they will give us a choice.  I will happily go to the front desk to pick up a printed copy.

I hope in the quest to reduce paper they also stop with the junk mail that immediately goes in the trash in our cabin.

If they don't send the Compass, I definitely don't want any Spa, Art Auction or $10 sale hand outs

Had 5 or 6 on sailing day, laundry service. Casino classes, mini bar stocking,, sailing day only pricing, art auction, couple others I had no interest in.

Will complain to GS and on survey if they are discontinued.  We are on Jewel in April.  I keep them, scan them into my computer before recycling.  I've gone back to them when someone has a question.  Also is not as clear or obvious as to what's happening or where things are located.

They were still using them on Celebrity a few months ago.  I have no issues using the App, BUT it's just not the same as sitting out on the balcony with the Compass and highlighting everything that I don't want to miss.  I will definitely miss having it.
