8esther8 Posted November 24, 2022 #1 Share Posted November 24, 2022 We cruise on Saturday to the Caribbean -- St Thomas, Labadee, San Juan, Coco Cay-- any reason to bring our vaccination cards?
cruiseguy1016 Posted November 24, 2022 #2 Share Posted November 24, 2022 I carry a copy of mine in my wallet. I also have a picture of it on my phone. I don't know if the original is required anywhere anymore but I would take it with me on a cruise just in case. 6

Rare cruiselvr04 Posted November 24, 2022 #5 Share Posted November 24, 2022 I bring them but leave them in the safe, just in case we would be asked.

HicksRA Posted November 24, 2022 #8 Share Posted November 24, 2022 (edited) I’m a better safe than sorry guy so I’d bring it, but 99% chance you won’t need it. Our last cruise 3 weeks ago, we were supposed to bring proof of a negative test but the only thing that was asked is if we were vaccinated. No one asked to see anything. Moonarino Posted November 24, 2022 #11 Share Posted November 24, 2022 I had mine in my wallet on Nov 7 when boarding Celebrity Silhouette, but never even thought about it. And of course I didn't need it. I hope I'll never have need to think about it again.
Scotty G Posted November 24, 2022 #12 Share Posted November 24, 2022 (edited) When we processed in for our current cruise on Jewel at PC the attendant asked if we were vaccinated. We replied yes and do you need to see our cards. She most emphatically said "absolutely not". Edited November 24, 2022 by Scotty G
BND Posted November 24, 2022 #13 Share Posted November 24, 2022 Ours are in our passport holders but just because they are, not because we need them anymore. We just got off a b2b on Jewel on Saturday and there was no need for it either for RCI or the ports we visited (DR, PR, StM, Nassau, Cozumel, Costa Maya). They just asked the three questions at the pier (vaxxed? boosted? more than 24 weeks pregnant?). That's it.

I could easily see an island mandating vaccination at the last minute to disembark if there is a Covid spike this winter. I could also see some businesses requiring a card to enter. 13
ARandomTraveler Posted November 24, 2022 #15 Share Posted November 24, 2022 No. Boarded on Saturday, didn't need it (My state provides a digital copy in case it was needed). I was asked if I was vaccinated, and when I said yes, I was asked if I had the booster. I wasn't asked for the card though.

I still have the records on my phone from when proof might have been required to enter some venue or busness (never had to though) but I never carried the actual card. I am not taking the actual card on a cruise when vaccination is not required by the cruise line. If some country or busness adds that after I embark and the digital record is not enough .............well I will take that risk.
