  1. Good afternoon. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. Rabbit, Rabbit, White Rabbit.

    Appropriate that it's National Christmas Lights Day. Much progress has been made in AIDS treatment, but more is needed. A salute to Romanian independence. Interesting quote. Pass on the meal (fish) and drink, but I'll take the wine. I have not been to Fortaleza. 3 Important days.

    It's cloudy and rainy here today. I must say this may have been the worst day. I slept about 3 hours. BFF came and took me for my MRI. I told the guy I get extreme leg/back pain when laying on my back. He said I couldn't move, moan or breathe too deeply as it interferes with the study. I was in agony the whole time. I'm not one that does self affirmations, but I tried to breathe evenly and tell myself "you can do it, you are strong, hang in there" the whole time. Thank goodness that's over! Back here, BFF went downstairs and brought up a few outdoor decorations that I will put on the porch. My tree has been up in the foyer since last year; I'll just turn on the lights for it, no decorating. Now I'm waiting for the mitigation company guy to come by, and finally having my coffee.

    @arzz @Cruzin Terri and Jim - Welcome home!

    @grapau27 Graham, so sorry to hear of the water main leak and its effects on your property. Wow, a water board cleaning team sounds great. We don't get that kind of service here.

    @smitty34877 Thanks. I'm waiting to see the outcome of the mitigation with bated breath. I'm hoping just cleanup will be required. My enthusiasm for the holiday is also lacking; I can certainly understand your feeling that way too, after your loss.

    @rafinmd I hope all goes smoothly today on your journey towards home.

    @ger_77 Prayers for your friend Wayne that his heart issues can be taken care of straight away. And great of you and DH to jump right in to help him.

    @Heartgrove I'm sorry to hear that you and Sue are still feeling unwell. I guess continuing to rest is all you can do.

    @superoma Good news about Dena; I hope her recovery continues.

    @dfish I'm glad Sue is feeling better, but sorry to hear that DB and DSIL are under the weather.

    @cruising sister It was wonderful to see pictures of Murphy. She's a fighter! Continued prayers for her. Good luck with the new medication. My doctor wanted me to try Metformin as part of weight management, but I know many don't tolerate it, so I said not now. Enjoy the Christmas program!

    @arzz Good luck with the insurance battle over the damage to your home.

    @marshhawk Good to hear that you're getting the oxygen today. What a sweet story about what you did for your neighbor; great Christmas spirit.

    @57redbird I'm glad you got a date. I'm hoping my imaging today helps, but I don't see Neurosurgery until Dec 19.

    @kochleffel Congrats on the great feedback for your presentation!

    @RMLincoln I hope you both feel better soon. Get some rest!

    @Nickelpenny Great photos.

    Prayers for the Care List and Cheers for those Celebrating.

  3. Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily @richwmn.

    Computer security is vital, especially with reports of hostile takeovers lately. I like a good chocolate mousse. A salute to Barbados independence. Interesting quote. The meal sounds good. Pass on the drink and yes to the wine. I have not been to Seydisfjordur, Iceland; I want to go to Iceland. Beer purity is very important in Germany.

    It's warmer today (43F) and sunny. Well, quite the day yesterday. The mitigation team came all the way from WV last evening. They measured moisture in the floor, and put fans and a giant dehumidifier both in the living room and in the basement under (to dry the subfloor). It sounds like a jet engine in here. I was concerned about sleeping, but was so exhausted I went to bed at 9:30 and was asleep by 10. I got about 5 hours, which is a near record the last few months. The insurance claims person called this AM to get details, then the mitigation company manager was just here. These fans have to stay about 3 days! I will still need to get an HVAC company to put in a new radiator. I have PT this afternoon, and that's about all on the agenda today. MRI tomorrow, finally.

    @Sharon in AZ Prayers all goes well with your cataract surgery today.

    @rafinmd Roy, take your time driving today.

    @Seasick Sailor I hope you get your balcony door fixed.

    @grapau27 I had to LOL about your original moose post 😉.

    @dfish I'm glad Sue is feeling better. Thanks for the recipes. Yes, just copy and paste. Good for you for being the squeaky wheel!

    @ger_77 Good news on the mammogram.

    @superoma Prayers for your friend. Sadly black toes usually is dead tissue.

    @marshhawk I hope the oxygen comes soon!

    @cruising sister How is your hand coming along?

    @kochleffel Good luck with your class presentation today.

    @Quartzsite Cruiser You've got a lot on your to-do list!

  5. Oh my. I'm beat and hurting more. The plumber came. Due to threaded pipe leading to the radiator, he couldn't put a shutoff valve in. Being resourceful, he drained the whole system, then disconnected the radiator from above, capping both ends coming up through the floor. Then he had to refill the system and bleed it. I now have heat (except in the living room) and water! He said he could see the floor cupping. My poor 100+ year old quarter sawn oak (tiger oak). I filed a claim with my homeowner's insurance and a restoration team is coming this evening; hopefully they can mitigate the floor damage and maybe do some of the cleanup. Then I'll need to get someone to put in a new radiator.

    @RMLincoln You have just been through major life changes, so no wonder things seem off. Be gentle with yourselves.

    @Nickelpenny You're living the life! Thanks for sharing with us.

    @kazu Thanks for sharing Roy's messages.

    @Quartzsite Cruiser Oh no on the washer. I miss the good old days of appliances lasting 30 years or more. I think all the electronics are partly to blame; I try to buy simpler models.

    @rafinmd I'm glad you are being discharged. Take it easy making your way toward home.

    @dfish I'm glad it was an easy fix. I hope Sue is feeling better soon. And that's awful about the CT results still not available.

    @Cruising-along Great news on the lab results.

    Now I can relax a bit, eat something and maybe have a big mug of decaf coffee. I deferred my morning coffee due to no facilities (I should have gotten a couple of buckets of water before shutting of the house water).

  6. Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily.

    I last square danced in grade school. I'll take chocolates any day. I never had lemon cream pie. Good quote. The meal sounds good. Yes to the drink and wine. I've never been to Mamoudzou. Yay Thomas Edison!

    It's 19F out and still windy, with a high of maybe 34. I don't think I can take much more. I was awakened around 1:30AM by a loud noise. The house alarm was on, so it wasn't that. Then I heard water gurgling in the radiator (never a good thing). I hobbled up to the third floor, and all was ok, as was the 2nd floor where the bedroom is. I went downstairs and it took a minute to figure out it was the living room radiator. There was water pooled on the oak floor. The marble top table in front of the radiator had the top dislodged, so something powerful happened. The lamp on it was wedged between the table and radiator. 2 Lladro porcelain pieces were on the floor 🥲; luckily one landed on the area rug and is ok, while the other has a hand broken off. The floor is covered in this now dry dirty grime. I haven't been back to sleep. I can only do maybe 5 minutes at a time working on it, due to leg pain. I turned off the water and called the plumber. Of course all the old guys who worked on radiators at this company have retired. I'm just trying to get the water shut off to this one radiator, so I can have heat and water to the rest of the house. So he's coming to look at it this afternoon, but I may need to find an HVAC company that works on boilers and radiators. So, how's your day going?

    @Cruise Suzy Welcome Home!

    @Mr. Boston Safe travels back to Boston.

    @StLouisCruisers I'm glad Scott was seen and started on medications.

    @smitty34877 I'm glad that Tana is somewhat better, but sad that the pneumonia has taken a toll. And kudos to you for being able to physically assist her.

    @rafinmd I'm glad you got better rest. Hopefully you get discharged today. It's a tightrope walk trying to remove fluid from where you don't want it, and leaving the vascular system with enough fluid to not be dehydrated.

    @RedneckBob woohoo on WiFi on your cruise.

    @Seasick Sailor Hoping you and Allen stay healthy!

    @marshhawk  I'm hoping the oxygen appears soon, and that it plus the meds has you feeling much better.

    Prayers for the Care List and Cheers for the Celebration List.

  8. Good afternoon. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily.

    I haven't written a personal letter in a while. I love French Toast! I'll salute Mauritania independence. No to the quote. Yes to the meal, drink (minus shredded coconut) and wine. I've been to Italy, but not Napoli. 3 good days in history.

    It's cold, windy and a bit snowy here (not much). I'd like to stay inside, but have PT in about an hour. I got a little more sleep last night, perhaps by taking my Gabapentin plus muscle relaxant plus some ibuprofen. I had tried to nap in the recliner yesterday, but it was too painful.

    @seagarsmoker I'm glad you were able to get your cruise changed.

    @StLouisCruisers Thanks for the photos. Great one of you and Dennis. Sorry to hear that Scott has Covid, hopefully a mild case. And I hope Susan is negative or if not, also has a mild case. Congrats to your DS and DBIL on their 54th Wedding Anniversary! I haven't seen those Medicare ads here (thankfully).

    @aliaschief Good news on no need for knee surgery.

    @Seasick Sailor Lovely photo of you and Allen.

    @kazu Thanks for sharing Roy's updates.

    @Heartgrove I hope you and Sue are both feeling ok.

    @rafinmd Roy, I'm glad you got some rest; sadly hospitals are terrible places to get sleep. And I hope the doctor has a plan for treatment. Good to hear it's not heart failure. Where was the fluid? In the lungs or between the lungs and chest wall?

    @marshhawk I was happy to hear you got an appointment with the pulmonary PA.

    @dfish Thanks for the recipes. Yes to doing the hula. And if Sue's cough has gone on that long, I think she should get looked at. Unbelievable on no CT scan results yet.

    @RMLincoln Sorry to hear that DH's eye surgery got postponed, although at least a week isn't too bad. The concert sounds nice.

    @smitty34877 Good news indeed on the hip replacement check-up. Your soup sounds wonderful.

    @Quartzsite Cruiser Great Naples photos. Sorry to hear about the water situation, but at least it's not the washer itself.

    @bennybear Thanks for the photos.

    @Vict0riann Great photos from Naples.

    @Cruising-along Thanks for the photos, especially  those evening ones.

  10. Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily.

    No to pies in the face and Bavarian cream pie. Protecting turtles is important. Good quote. I like the soup, pass on the drink and yes to the wine. I haven't been to Maputo. Interesting days in history.

    Brrr. It's cold and very windy, with snow flurries. But I won't complain as up near Erie they are getting 36"+ of snow. Yesterday afternoon BFF and I picked up our UK friends, went to have a meal and kill some time, then dropped them at the airport. Last night I tried the recliner, but as soon as the footrest went up, my leg was tingling and painful. After about 15 minutes I went upstairs to my bed. I got about 2.5 hours of sleep. Sigh. Today is the 1 year anniversary of the passing of BFF's Father.

    @rafinmd Prayers for you Roy. I'm sorry they constantly interrupted your night getting tests, but hope the tests reveal a diagnosis. I hope you can get some rest today.

    @StLouisCruisers I hope your stomach is more settled today.

    @aliaschief Good luck with your Orthopedic appointment today.

    @seagarsmoker I hope you can change your cruise. And good luck with the job search.

    @kazu Thanks for passing on Roy's message. The weather there sounds like no fun.

    @Heartgrove Sorry to hear that Sue has tested positive, Jack, and that you still have symptoms. When I had the hyaluronic acid injections in my knee, it was done in 3 sittings.

    @cruising sister I'm glad the roads are clear so you can go to get your sutures out.

    @marshhawk Sorry to hear you're still coughing. Any news on the oxygen? Your friend is in a bad way; and the nurses and doctors are only trying to help him, as is his ex-wife, I'd think. He'll drive everyone away.

    @RMLincoln I'm sorry to hear about the trials of your old friends. I'm glad you're closer to what you may need; something I think about as someone with no family.

    @Nickelpenny Break a leg (figuratively) at your recital. Will there be video?

    @smitty34877 Growing up in NJ, I remember Soupy Sales!  I hope Tana is at least stable currently.

  12. Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily.

    I like cake, particularly carrot cake. Law is important. Several small breweries have started here; I've tried beer at a couple. Good quote. The meal sounds good. Pass on the drink, and yes to the wine. I haven't been to Jakarta. 2 good days in history.

    It's chilly, but sunny for now; rain later. I had a bad night, with about 1-1/2 hours of sleep. I think I'll try to sleep downstairs in the recliner tonight. It can't be worse! BFF and I will be taking our UK friends to the airport this afternoon, for their trip home. The flight doesn't leave until evening, so we may go to eat or find something else to do to fill the time void.

    @Haljo1935 Bon Voyage!

    @StLouisCruisers I'm glad you're able to eat, but sorry you still have some stomach discomfort. Feel better soon.

    @rafinmd Roy, I'm concerned that you have such a lack of energy. Good idea to get checked out.

    @cat shepard I looked for those shrimp on my last Aldi trip, but didn't see them. I'll keep looking.

    @Seasick Sailor No stomach issues for me, just the pinched nerve with leg pain and numbness (that's enough!). I think you meant Annie (Marshhawk). It sounds like you're having a great time onboard Rotterdam.

    @kazu Cute hedgehog for Ivan.

    @cruising sister Thanks for the update on Murphy. Continued prayers for her and the family.

    @Quartzsite Cruiser Exciting getting the new HVAC tomorrow.

    @smitty34877 I'm glad you made it home safely, and that the break was somewhat restful. I'm glad DD and DSIL were able to manage even with the aide out a couple of days. Good going on getting the teenager involved in meal preparation.

    @RedneckBob You got me, I'm a secret agent 🕵️! I'm glad you're able to cruise again, and good job on the new wardrobe.

    @RMLincoln Lots going on to get settled, so no wonder you're tired and need down days every so often. And it was nice you could be there for the Remembrance for your cousin. I'm sorry to hear that DH is having so much trouble with his eye; good that he could get an appointment for this week. Belated Happy Birthday to your DH Richard! And thanks for the cake recipe.

  15. Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily @richwmn. Ugh, somehow lost my post so re-doing it.

    We should support small businesses. I'm not a parfait person. Maize was/is and important crop. I don't need a shopping reminder, as I'm done (BFF and I cut down on gifts as neither of us needs more "stuff"). Good quote. Maybe on the meal, pass on the drink and wine. I was in Melbourne on my first HAL cruise from Auckland to Sydney.

    It was only 22F this AM, now up to 32F (high of 44F). At least it's sunny. Same issues for me. I slept about 4 hours, but feel sleepy. Maybe my coffee will kick in. I wanted to do some cleaning, but mornings are tough due to pain. Also maybe put up a few Christmas decorations. And perhaps a nap in the recliner, if I can manage it.

    @AV8rix Bon Voyage! (I know you're unplugged)

    @GTVCRUISER Welcome home.

    @StLouisCruisers I'm sorry to hear you're not feeling well and hope that passes quickly. Great photos.

    @Seasick Sailor So nice that there's crew members you know on this cruise. Enjoy!

    @aliaschief I'm glad the knee feels ok. Mine are on again/off again as far as pain goes.

    @cat shepard Thanks for finding a hidden talent for me 🙂. Your dinner and evening sounds like a fun time.

    @Crazy For Cats Safe trip home.

    @Heartgrove I'm glad you're testing negative and hope you're back to your usual self soon.

    @marshhawk I'm sorry you're still having stomach issues. Do you know what's causing that?

    @ger_77 Good news that DH's CT scan was ok!

    @Quartzsite Cruiser Congrats to Texas on their win.

    @dfish I am so glad you are in River's life to provide a steady influence. Thanks for the recipes.

    @cunnorl Nice photos.

    @Nickelpenny Thanks for the photo. Enjoy the activities.

    @rafinmd Thanks for the sunrise.

    @dobiemom I do hope you're getting better.

    Prayers for the Care List and Cheers for those Celebrating.

  17. Good afternoon. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily.

    My Black Friday shopping was online; a set of sheets. I'm searching for ones I really. Then I was surprised that my grocery store had a number of items I buy for 99 cents, today only. I saved $6 on one item. I wish I knew my family history - I think that should be included for adoptees. So I've tried to be proactive about getting screening tests. I can't think of a unique talent I have. I won't celebrate DB Cooper. Interesting quote. I'll pass on the meal (fish) and drink. Yes to the wine. I haven't been to East London. 3 important days in history.

    It's only 41F, but partly sunny. Lots of leaves have come down after the past 2 days of wind and rain. Sleep was the same, about 3 hours. I went to PT at noon, then the grocery store, where the cart acts as my walker, lol. BFF and out UK friends are going out to eat and then watch the away hockey game. I declined as I'm hurting and not inclined to be social. Yay to release of some hostages; let's hope they all are released soon.

    @Himself @Niagarawine @Seasick Sailor Bon Voyage!

    @Vict0riann Happy Anniversary to you and Pat! It does sound like you took advantage of some Black Friday sales. I'm sorry to hear of all the ills to befall your cousin's family. I'm glad you both had good reports from your doctors.

    @aliaschief I'll have to look into that Jacque Pepin recipe.

    @rafinmd Welcome back to FLL.

    @RedneckBob Nice lake and gator 😗.

    @kazu Hugs on this bitter sweet day; may your good memories sustain you. I'm glad you're seeing your BFF.

    @dfish Enjoy the decorating with River.

    @smitty34877 I hope the visit to NH was somewhat refreshing for you. Safe travels to NY tomorrow.

    @durangoscots That's a lot of snow! Stay safe.

    @Cruising-along Cute grand pups.

    @Nickelpenny Great photo. It will continue to get warmer. It sounds like there are lots of activities for the sea days.

    @cat shepard I see it.

    Prayers for the Care List and Cheers for those with something to Celebrate.
