Here is a bday gift I received from Leonard,  a coaster to hold my drink so i can pet him when he's sitting on the arm of my reclining chair.

 

Although I may need to loan it to @Ocean Boy for a few days.

Another beautiful day in Noosa, Queensland.  Still no koalas spotted in the National Park but delighted to see  a pod of 30 dolphins at Hell’s Gate lookout and at Dolphin Point a young boy spotted a whale leaping in the distance,  repeatedly making a big splash much to the delight of kids & adults alike. This is a land based holiday, so the closest I came to a cruise was the lovely old Noosa ferry that departs from a wharf just up from our apartment outside The Sebel.

 

 

Our apartment (we have the 2nd floor sub- penthouse apartment ).

Me, relaxing on the balcony watching the ferry I took yesterday cruise by (excuse the dirty socks was just back from long bushwalk in NP).

 

Ferry was cute, nice to sit upstairs in the sunshine  and the Captain gave an interesting commentary as we cruised upriver.

 

The Captain of the ferry told us yesterday that the waterfront home (one of the white ones in the photo above) that is located diagonally across the water from us was rented by a couple from Victoria last November as an executive holiday rental.  The couple on holidays loved it so much, they decided they wanted to buy it.  It was not on the market and the lawyer owner was not keen to sell  but this couple were determined.  They got their rental agent involved and after much persuasion, the owners agreed to sell.  So the couple got their new holiday home for 27 million AUD….. this smashed the price benchmark.  Previous highest sale in the area was $20million in 2020.

Nice sunrise picture.  It looks pretty calm there still.  Lee must not be affecting things there yet.

The picture looks like it was taken on the Hudson River. The ocean was starting to develop a bit of a chop yesterday. Tomorrow and Saturday may be interesting on the beach.

I will say.  Can’t believe how slow moving that storm is.  This is from the windy app, and it shows the location on Friday in this shot.  

 

It looks like @Jimbo might have some interesting weather.  Hope he raids Windjammer for some green apples to help with sea sickness.

In the terminal already waiting for the plane. It took about an hour and twenty minutes from being in line to get off to sitting at the gate. Now if 11:15 would get here. We ended up taking a shuttle service to EWR. The Uber or Lyft apps never connected with a driver. Maybe no one wanted to pick up people or to early? Others had the same problem. The shuttle we took was a van that had 8 people and a lot of luggage in the back. I noticed it didn't have any markings on it, but it was where we were directed when we asked for a taxi. The price was 22.00 per person so not bad.
